Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by njtb15 Looks good, but circulates air poorly and pull chain mechanism broke in less than 6 months
This unit looks nice. We purchased it for a room that contains a lot of oil rubbed bronze in it. The fan does not circulate a lot of air. I have installed over a dozen different ceiling fans in the past 10 years and have never installed one with such low air movement. After 4 months of use the light switch mechanism began working intermittently and then stopped. The conditions the unit is operating is clean and relatively consistent. I took the unit back rather than replace it with one like in kind. Nice, but not worth it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mishka light switch on the fan sticks/broke
Hello my name is Anatoliy I bought this fan about one year ago. First of straight out the box the fan was making rubbing noises, that is with adjustments and all. Finally fix it, the switch for the light starts sticking, now just broke won't click back up, now the fan switch is sticking. Turns off when switching to 2nd speed from 1st it's a 3 speed fan!!!!!! don't feel like pulling it a part not my job lost my receipt so I just have it hanging. I do not recommend Hampton Bay 44in Hawkins to anyone this brand maybe a good price but a BAD buy!!!!!!! PS when tried to contact the company always put on hold LOL how funny. Joke on me.

These ceiling fans are sturdy, elegant and very easy to install. We liked the style well enough to put one in mom's room and 2 in the great room on the first floor.

Even with the light globe aligned like the instructions tell you to line it up, it is very hard to pull the fan speed chain. The bulbs that come with the fan are very dull and do not light up the bedroom enough. I ended up purchasing 3 LED 60 watt equivalent bulbs from amazon that brightened up the room much better than the ones that came with it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Alex Interior switches don't last and can't easily be replaced, noisy, hard to troubleshoot.
I purchased this less than a year ago to replace the same fan that became noisy and unstable. I have two in the same room so I wanted to match them rather than buy two new ones. This was a mistake.
The fan pull has to go through several channels, making it often difficult to pull. Sometimes it doesn't even work if the grooves get out of line.
The internal light switch (that the pull string is attached to) has stopped working in less than 9 months. I went to replace it, and you can't just replace the switch, you have to replace the the entire lighting kit. This should be a simple job, but due to this restrictive design, it is not. Now that I've tried to replace the switch, the fan is somehow noisier.
When it does work, the lighting is dim at max. The air-flow of the fan is fine overall. Don't buy this fan unless you want annoyances and more projects down the line.

I bought this for my husband's table room. The fan color sort of gives you a feel of a bar and grill. I love the bronze and black trim color of it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by LocalHomeowner I bought ths fan and it's turning out to be a bear to install
Too many wires for the casing. This isn't easy to install. Make sure your installer has a helper because s/he will definitely need one. I'd bought other ceiling fans of this brand, so this installation problem was unexpected.
