I liked the first fan so I decided to install the same fan throughout the house. There have been a few issues. There have been three fans that have had a metal tab holding the glass shades break off. This has occurred even though no one was handling the fan or lights. The second item was on the last fan I installed. A bad lock washer was installed on the motor shaft at the factory. The lock washer over lapped so it didn't sit flat when torqued down. This caused the motor to be tilted. I had to remove the shaft from the motor, cut the washer, then reinstall the shaft to the motor.

This fan is kinda noisy, loud enough to annoy you when watching TV. It clicks and clanks when the light is off. With the light on the noises get better. Sounds weird, I know, but it's true. Had this installed by a friend who is an electrician, and he has installed hundreds of fans, so I'm thinking the install was done correctly. He put in another of the same brand that is very quiet. The quiet one is a Hampton Bay Hawkins 44 inch.

The install was very easy. The fan runs very smooth and dead quiet. I did not really appreciate the incandescent high wattage small base light bulbs. Since most incandescent bulbs have been banned from sale due to wasting energy, I think that an LED or some CFL should have been supplied.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by THUNDER Terrible for anything but looks. Pushes no air.
Our old bedroom fans motor burnt out so we had to replace the fan. I didn't have a lot of money and this fan looked really nice and the price was decent for a fan this size. After standing on our king size bed for nearly 2 hours removing the old fan and installing this one, I was very frustrated because of the way the blades attach. They attach up inside the housing instead of the bottom like almost every other fan I've ever seen. Getting them lined up and then getting the screws in was difficult due to the angle and poor design. After I managed to finish everything up, I turned the breaker back on and turned the fan on. It takes about 8 seconds to get up to speed which I think is odd. As soon as it got going, the fan arms that attach inside the housing started banging hard on something and I shut it off. I could see where the metal had hit something and nicked it up. I knew the shaft wasn't allowing the fan to hang straight so I turned it back on and pushed it until it wasn't hitting anything. After about 4 attempts, it stayed center and has since. I then realized the fan wasn't pushing much air down. I thought I had it on med or low. Nope. On high, this fan puts out about as much air as our old one from the early 90's did on low. I am very upset by this. We run our bedroom fan on high year round. The fan just doesn't offer any air from any angle in the room. I wanted to yank it down and return it but the wife didn't want me going through all of that work again so I agreed to leave it be until it starts warming up next spring. Then it's gone.
The fan looks great. But it doesn't perform. The light globes don't require screws. There are 2 metal strips that you press in and slide the globes over. Pressure from the strips hold the globes in place. But they vibrate at night and make noise. The fan itself is very quiet. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a fan that moves air to stay away from this one. If you're just going for looks, it will be fine. Just frustrating installing the blades.

Bought two for my LR, first fan install went well. Once we installed 2nd fan, we noticed the blades were rubbing the fan housing (we checked level each step). Uninstalled, and reinstalled double checking level every step. We determined the motor itself was not level, so nothing could be done to fix it. Exchanged it for a new one, and install was done in less than an hour and it runs beautifully! They run fast and quiet, move a lot of air. The "rubbed" finish is painted on, so we found it scratches easily.
