Rated 5 out of 5Â by kmhwins Could not be happier with this floor
This is not my first purchase of an unseen pallet of flooring. I purchased two pallets to redo my whole house. I was nervous it would be too red, but it isn't. I wanted a narrower plank than what I've installed before and I wanted a 10 or 12 mm, but I went with this one for the price and the width. I will advise, make sure you acclimate the wood to the rooms temperature, I live in a Northern state and installed on a muggy day; the wood knew it. When you install, make sure you shimmy the short ends in well then the long ends...it will ensure you have a good fit. I used a jigsaw to cut - much easier than a circular. AND cut your wood upside down, foam side up. The cut is clean as butter, no choppiness.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by gavinandfaith scratches very easily
Buyer beware! This flooring looks very good but scratches way to easily. We had it installed throughout our home during a recent renovation.i do not normally leave reviews for any products but I had read a couple reviews before purchasing this flooring noting that it scratched too easy. I dismissed them, do not make the same mistake!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by tjones Difficult to install but looks nice
We are in the middle of installing this floor and it is very time consuming. Each piece needs to be hit with a block and hammer for it to lock properly. I had spent more money on an engineered product before and it went together very easy. The floor looks very nice. I am happy with how it looks, and good for the price. There were also many pieces that were damaged, but we were able to use them for our cuts and ends. The packaging is not good enough to protect the product.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ted1980 excellent durability
As I got ready to order more of this product, I saw the review that was critical of the durability of the finish. I have to strongly disagree. I installed this flooring almost 2 years ago in a retail shop. In my estimation it has held up wonderfully. Some scratches and dents - yes, but no more than I have had with "real" wood - in fact less. I have had numerous compliments from customers (and yes, HD, I do tell them where I got it). I am actually planning to use it to cover some furr downs on a remodeling project I am planning for my home later. I gave it 4 stars on value because it is so much more expensive than some other products and I only have to assume that it is that much better than they would be.

This flooring went down easily. I encountered a few problems that could be avoided by others during installation. 1) Just like with tile, you need to check the deminsions of your room and make sure you will have equal size strips along each side. Also check and make sure you don't end up with some super short pieces at the ends. The instructions say to start with a full size piece, but this can lead to having a one inch (or less) size strip which is VERY difficult to work with. 2) When using the tapping block to lock the planks together, make sure that the force is directed horizontally (through the lenght of the plank). Any downward force can cause the tongue of the locking groove to split. Unfortunately, you may not see this until you are locking the next row of planks in place. I had to disassemble a full row of planks (on two separate occassions) to replace the plank that split. 3) Invest $30 in an oscillating saw (like the Black and Decker) to cut the door jams. While an offset backsaw will work, for the extra $20 you will be glad that you had it (as a note I had only 6 doorways to work with and decided on the handsaw, after two doorways, I now have a backsaw and an oscillating saw.
I did read several reviews describing defects in the flooring planks. I had about 6 damaged planks in two pallets of this flooring. There were, however about one quarter of them that had what appeared to be adhesive (or some other tacky glue-like substance) on them. This came off easily with a microfiber cloth and water.
The only complaint that I had with this entire transaction was with the trim pieces for the thresholds and seams between flooring types. Both transition pieces stated they would work with the 10mm flooring, but they did not work very well. I did not discover this until I had cut my pieces to put them in place. I tried several ways to shim them to a height that they would stay in place, but had no success. I finally went to a competitor that is in the town I live in and purchased a similar finish that would work with the thickness of the flooring.
