my switch burnt out a speed shortly after purchasing this fan... I called customer service. after being put on hold and talking to a few different people they tell me its not the switch and tell me they are going to send out the part I need. I call back 2 weeks later after receiving nothing and call back again. they were apologetic and tell me something's coming out in the mail today. they send me out a part which isn't the correct one, the switch went bad, along with no paperwork for where this part is supposed to go. I am dreading calling back to try and get the switch I need that lost the low speed. fan looks awesome and would be great if functioned properly...

Very efficient blade design - rather than a flat paddle it's an airfoil shape with greater chord and pitch at the root than at the tip which is just as it should be for most efficiency. Speed control mounts in a standard switch box and has excellent range of speeds - lowest speed produces a minimum airflow while highest speed blows papers around on the floor 11 feet below in my installation. The two speeds in between the min and max offer all the adjustment I need.
The "industrial" style and lack of a light are perfect for my application which is in a large workshop with 12 foot ceiling and extensive lighting. I installed 3 of these fans and all worked out fine with no issues.
Installation instructions have some mistakes but not too hard to figure out. That's the only reason I rated quality and ease of installation as Good rather than Excellent.

Easy to install and has that modern look that I wanted for the heigh ceiling in my modern kitchen. Just wish a equally modern light kit was possible. Not made to add a light.

As others have indicated, this is a great fan. I bought two for my workshop, and they really move a lot of air at the highest setting. They're both quiet, with no rattles, and run very smoothly. I think the "airfoil" design of the blade really makes a big difference compared to other fans with flat blades. I love that the remote wired switch was included in the deal for each fan. Really a great price for the product, and I was relieved to see the silver paint on the fan blades wasn't scratched like others had experienced. Only drawbacks are 1) Like everyone else has stated, the numbering on the switch is "backwards" -- i.e. the "highest" setting (4) is the slowest speed, and the "lowest setting (1) is the highest speed -- odd, but not unmanageable, and 2) while they are reversable for summer/winter air flow, you have to climb up a ladder, unscrew and lift up the top cover to access the reverse switch -- rather a hassle, but then your'e only doing that twice a year (if at all).

This fan blows air like a hair or hand dryer. I installed in a high end garage, but its equally suitable for a family room or game room. The brushed stainless steel finish is attractive and the blades are a composite (not wood), painted or coated in silver to match perfectly the stainless steel motor and post finish. The blades have a high approach angle and move volumes of air. The wall switch with has four speed settings and when on high, blows your hair around when standing under it and I have a twelve foot ceiling! I looked at the BIGASS fan but was turned off by the outrageous price. This one is as attractive and moves enough air for my application.
Excellent value and product!

I haven't needed to use the fan yet because it's been pretty mild but it looks great! I had an electrician friend install it but it seemed pretty simple enough.
One thing of note, all the photos show it hanging from the long rod (roughly 18" or so) but that rod came as an extra attachment. The fan actually came assembled with the short rod (roughly 5") which was ideal since my ceilings aren't super high. So the total height from bottom of the fan to the ceiling is roughly 13".

The fan works great - only thing is the color looks more silver in the photo (was hoping it would match my stainless steel appliances a bit better) and its actually a brushed silver color that is a little dull.
