(We got 10% discount by showing military ID.) Our colonial entryway has a low ceiling, so we needed a lighting fixture that only hung 11" max. We bought this one because it's design was a 'modern take on a metal lantern', but my husband thought he would have to do a good bit of alteration to the fixture to mount it close to the ceiling. Although the package instructions did not show this option, it turned out all he had to do was screw the fixture directly into the ceiling mount! This option should be advertised on the box. We bought a 2nd one for the small area at the bottom of our stairs. He cut off the outer square, spray painted the metal over the cut areas, and replaced the glass with similar wavy glass. Two 'matching' fixtures in eyesight of one another, both semi-mounted, and both look fantastic!

Product was easy to install and looks good. Install light over kitchen sink, problem is with the length of the downrods. Only come in 12" lengths, with only 2 rods light to high with 3 light to low. Would have made a better installation if rod lengths were 12" and perhaps 6", this would allow for more flexability with fixture height. Unable to purchase or modify rods to specific lengths.

My friend had recommended this ceiling lamp at Home Depot. I really liked it, but the price was too high. Two weeks later, I noticed that same lamp online for almost half off. I ordered it online and am happy.Always check online before you buy at Home Depot.

We love the light fixture and have received many compliments on it. It was easy to install and is a great new addition over the bistro table in our breakfast nook.
