I had to put in a few screws and this fire pit was ready to go. Only used it once and had to let it cool overnight before I could put the plastic cover over it to keep it dry. At least so I thought to keep it dry. It appears that that the very lightweight plastic cover has seams that easily allow water to seep through. There's rust already on the base where the lid rests and just below the cover's seam.. It looks like the cap at the top of the lid is rusting a bit too. I left the grill grate out and that did NOT rust even though we've had rain. So I guess that's good if you plan to cook over the fire.
Rust doesn't mean it's going to fall apart right away, but you think something built for outdoor use could be used several times before the elements get to it.
It contains the fire and it looks nice. There wasn't any damage to our patio.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by timtsb A great addition to our back yard
This fire pit looks sharp, feels sturdy, and is easy to use.
Assembly was as easy as it gets – you just screw the main section onto the base with 8 small screws and you’re ready to go. I love the included cooking grate, but more for keeping kids hands out of the fire than for actually cooking on it.
I’m used to writing lengthy reviews…this one feels too short, but I don’t know what else I can say about it – it does its job and looks good doing it. See attached pictures for proof.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aayan love the portability, longevity in question
The fire pit came nicely packaged and took minimal time to assemble which involved 8 screws to attach the pit to the base. The design along the border gives an interesting appearance to the flames and the mesh frame allows air to circulate down to the bottom logs. The workmanship of the mesh frame is flimsy and poorly welded to the frame with minute flaws. The bronze finish looks dark with hints of rustic gold which certainly gives it a stylish appearance. The addition of the grill is an added capability but obviously the cook top surface does not compare to a traditional grill. The included weather resistant cover is not a hefty type of cover and the stitching is widely spaced so I am not sure how well would it withstand outdoor wear and tear. I store it in the shed and take it out when I need to add that touch of ambiance for outdoor gatherings.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Oceanside Very nice looking and provides warmth on cold evenings
The young lady in the photos was able to unpack it and assemble it in 9 minutes.
But she's a genius. An old man like me might take longer :)
This is a very nice looking fire pit and the cut out flames on the sides provides warmth plus it gives it a much more elegant look than an ordinary fire pit. This design is what makes this pit a cut above the rest.
It comes with a grill, poker and cover.
There are a few reasons I can't give this 5 stars.
1) There should be a pan on the bottom of the box. Without a pan, the ashes are hard to remove. I may add a pan.
2) Without the pan acting as a baffle, the heat from the fire will weaken the bottom of the box and eventually it will probably burn holes through..
3) I don't understand the purpose of the grill. It is NOT a BBQ. Any meat will have drippings and without a pan then it will become a greasy mess. But you can roast marshmallows with it.
4) The color of the pit is black, but the box and the secondary photo on the Home Depot site shows it as a tan color.
But you will enjoy the warmth this pit generates, and the cut out flames makes if fun to watch.
It's a fun product to gather around during cold nights and enjoy the flames safely.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tanner08 Perfect for chilly Fall evenings
Once it's out of the box - installation is a snap ! Super easy to assemble - absolutely nothing to dread! I
love the rubbed bronze color - matches my new bronze solar lights and outdoor decor. The size is just perfect, not too large or too small. Everything you need: cooking grid, mesh cover, poker and handy weather resistant cover are all included. It's so economical to use and now I've found a use for the scraps of lumber left over from our remodeling and DIY projects. The deep bowl with great ventilation provides an excellent fire, and the flame cutouts provide a pleasing view. I'm definitely looking forward to sitting around a cozy fire in this fire pit on chilly evenings this Fall.

Although this fire pit is for outdoors and also came with a cover I still have the entire bottom chipping and rusting after just 2 uses and having it for less than 2 months. Extremely disappointed!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NJFamily Great firepit and grill!
I bought this fire pit for my boyfriend in the beginning of May. We have not only sat around the large pit to relax and enjoy an evening fire, but we have used it several times now to grill up steaks, burgers, and hotdogs. It seems to be holding up well so far. Its a great size for a large group to enjoy.
