Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive Light Bubls I bought this fan July 12, 2012. It includes 2 cfl type lightbulbs. The light bulbs are a pin type instead of a screw in type bulb. I had one bulb burn out in June(less than a year). Paid $8.26 for one bulb at Home Depot. This bulb is supposed to last 9 years. Don't buy this fan. Buy a fan where the light bulb screws in so you can use incandescent light bulbs. My opinion the cfl type bulbs are junk. I have yet to have any last more than 2 years. I have cfl lightbulbs all over my house. When one burns out, I revert back to the incandescent light bulbs. June 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice Ease of installation was marked as it is because the guy I hired to do it had no trouble :-) It is quite a nice looking fan and quiet as a "Sunday whisper". When I unpacked the box the light cover was missing. I called the company (not Home Depot) and they sent a replacement at no charge within 5 business days with no hassle. Well done of them. The only blight is that the light cover has a small crack next to the chain hole. It looks like a stress fracture. I'm not sending it back as it will likely work for years as it is and you can't even see it. I use a remote so the chain won't be an issue. I"m very satisfied with this ceiling fan. April 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan The fan looks very nice, and the air flow is fantastic! The only complaint I have is the globe had a crack in it. And it wasn't worth the trouble to have it replaced. But, other than that, it's a great fan. March 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful fan for a great price! We purchased this fan for a room we enclosed for use as a living room. It is a very nice looking fan. It is very quiet & does not wobble like some ceiling fans do. It has a lifetime warranty. A great price & quality for us. September 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Value for the Money I chose this fan based on price (on sale, and I can't bring myself to spend $100+ on a fan) and looks (brushed nickel, dark "mahogany" colored wood, and globe design), which match our master bedroom. Components feel cheap out of the box, with some scratches to the nickel finish, but come together nicely when the fan is hung and in operation. I used a dimmer control for the fan motor, and standard switch for the lights. Fan is very quiet - more so than I expected. No balancing was required - another surprise. My only installation issue was finding a Phillips-head screw driver short enough to fit between the mounting bracket and main housing when the short extension tube is used. My only complaints with the design are the proprietary CFL bulbs, which have two posts that fit in slots rather than screwing in, and the previously mentioned spaghetti mess of wires and switch control boxes that must be crammed back up into the light housing before securing the bottom cap. I’m not sure why a previous reviewer felt the need to route one of the pull chains over the globe. There are two holes in the bottom, one for the fan motor chain, one for the lights chain. Line the holes up properly and there should be no issues. There were a few instances of cursing during the installation, but this being the first fan I’ve ever installed, I found it to be a very manageable project, even for the amateur or novice.
