On the overview it says the CFM speed is 5509, then on the details the CFM speed is 5026.
Why the difference and what is the real CFM Speed?

Answer:
No, this fan can not be flush mounted. You can purchase a remote control form Home Depot, I recommend the Hampton Bay Premier Universal Fan remote (SKU#1001309463).

Larson 52 in. White Ceiling Fan is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful This fan looks very modern and elegant in my study and guest bedroom. It works well and unlike other fans this one uses standard light bulbs. They even take it a step further and give you two CFL bulbs. Fan providers a lot of air and the two sockets light up any room well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice fan We bought this fan to replace another one in our kitchen. It was very easy to install and balance and has been working well for about 2 weeks now. We run it most days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, not enough light. The fan looks great and works great. The light kit that comes with the fan does not provide much light. I would recommend this fan for use in a room that has another light source but if this fan kit will be the only source of light for the room it will probably disappoint you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great and nice looking...but one drawback Fan looks nice and operates quietly and smoothly. My only problem is that the light only uses special CFL bulbs (GU24) which cost much more than regular CFL bulbs (2-5x). Why, why, why did they do this. You save money on the electricity, but Hampton Bay then makes you waste money on a special bulb. Makes absolutely no sense. Also can't substitute with an incandescent bulb, which means you can never use a dimmer to control this light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice Ease of installation was marked as it is because the guy I hired to do it had no trouble :-) It is quite a nice looking fan and quiet as a "Sunday whisper". When I unpacked the box the light cover was missing. I called the company (not Home Depot) and they sent a replacement at no charge within 5 business days with no hassle. Well done of them. The only blight is that the light cover has a small crack next to the chain hole. It looks like a stress fracture. I'm not sending it back as it will likely work for years as it is and you can't even see it. I use a remote so the chain won't be an issue. I"m very satisfied with this ceiling fan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blade color a reddish hue. We bought 6 of these for bedrooms in the home we built. We expected the fan blades to be a brownish hue and were sadly mistaken when we saw them installed and blade color is cherry colored. We are probably be going to switching out all the fans now. Huge disappointment. The housing is nice looking and fans seem to operate great thus far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive Light Bubls I bought this fan July 12, 2012. It includes 2 cfl type lightbulbs. The light bulbs are a pin type instead of a screw in type bulb. I had one bulb burn out in June(less than a year). Paid $8.26 for one bulb at Home Depot. This bulb is supposed to last 9 years. Don't buy this fan. Buy a fan where the light bulb screws in so you can use incandescent light bulbs. My opinion the cfl type bulbs are junk. I have yet to have any last more than 2 years. I have cfl lightbulbs all over my house. When one burns out, I revert back to the incandescent light bulbs.
