Customer Questions & Answers

Can this fan be installed on a angled ceiling?

Asked by: Steve
Yes but it depends on the degree of the ceiling. The fan blades may hit the ceiling if the pitch is too steep.

Asked by: Paula

Rated 3 out of 5 by from LATHAM 52IN OIL RUBBED BRONZE CEILING FAN THIS FAN LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. BUT YOU SHOULD ONLY BUY ONE. DO NOT GET MORE THEN ONE . UNFORTUNATELY WE BOUGHT THREE...AND CANNOT PROGRAM THEM SO THAT WHEN WE CHANGE ONE IT DOESN'T CHANGE ALL WHEN ALL THREE ARE ON. SO TO USE EACH, WE HAVE TO TURN TWO OFF WHEN WE CHANGE THE LIGHT OR SPEED ON ONE...SO AS NOT TO CHANGE IT ON ALL THREE. CUMBERSOME PROGRAMMING. DIFFICULT TO USE.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking fan. Broad light spread. Good looking fan. Broad light spread. Doesn't put out very much air even at high speed - ok for small rooms but not medium sized room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Fan for a bedroom Easy to install however the bracket did not leave much room to tuck the wires in to the electrical box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hampton Bay 52 in. Latham Oil Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan for $124.72 delivered is a preat price!!! THIS IS A GREAT FAN FOR A GREAT PRICE!!!!!!! I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE! I was surprised to find a 52" fan with light and remote for a total of $124.72, this includes taxes and free shipping!!! The fan looks great. The fan blades are reversible which you can display either the Dark Cherry or Rosewood finish. I choose the to display the Rosewood finish because it looks more natural and has a nice grain pattern. The frosted glass bowl locks into place by turning it clockwise into the light kit fitter assembly. Just turn the bowl counter clockwise to remove. No screws to lock the bowl makes it easy to remove when replacing light bulbs. Installation was easy. The directions are easy to understand. The fan work flawlessly without any adjustments. The remote worked without any problems. Even if this unit doesn't go on sale the price is $156.88 which isn't bad for the features of this fan. I would definitely recommend this ceiling fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Modern Looking Ceiling Fan That Isn't Too Industrial Looking This is a great ceiling fan for mid-size/medium rooms. I purchased two for both my master and spare bedrooms. The style/look are amazing. I do wish the blade color options were different, but still good. The brushed nickel look is great. I purchased these on a recent sale, so the value was very good (only about $120 each). Installation was fairly good (especially better than the $400 that an electrician was going to charge me). I made sure to read the instructions thoroughly so when it came down to step by step everything was smooth. Diagrams were good, all the components were there. The first fan took about 2 hours (on and off...I wanted to take my time and do it slowly, so I installed it in sections instead of doing everything at once) to do, but it worked the first time I turned on the remote! Big sigh o'relief! It was hard simply because I have 10 foot ceilings and rickety ladder! The second fan took barely an hour.
