Can it be wired to a wall switch and the remote?

Can the fan and light be controlled independently from the wall switch and the remote?
Asked by: Jodi
The wall switch will only send power or disconnect power to the entire unit. When you turn off the wall switch, all power will be disconnected to the unit, so nothing will work (fan or light). When you turn the switch back on, the unit will continue the last setting it was on (whether it be the Light On {and whatever dimmer setting you had it on last} or Off; and Fan Off, High, Medium, Or Low.)

Lazerro II 52 in. Oil-Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Was noisey but fixed it now. Fan matched our bedroom decor perfectly. Problem was a "motor noise (hum)" that was driving me crazy for some time. Couldn't sleep because of it.. I tightened everything down real tight including the glass globe over the lights. Well to find out, by accident, the tighter I tightened the globe the louder the "hum" got. I removed the globe for cleaning and turned the fan on and noise! I replaced the globe tightening the three screws just tight enough to hold the globe in place and have had wonderful, quiet, cool sleeping conditions since. Absolutely love this fan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a well put together fan After assembling what I thought was a nice looking fan, I realized the light kit was poorly designed. The base plate for the lamp kit did not properly fit with the glass globe. After receiving a replacement base plate and globe. It still didn't fit together. Sadly I had to return it. POOR QUALITY CONTROL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit the Bill Excellent price as they ran 25% off all HB fans and includes the remote. This looks expensive as well. Seems to move a lot of air. I have put up several fans and HB seems to have their act together as far as instructions and ease of installing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kind of a pain to install; pleased with the performance I was hoping that I'd be able to install in 1-2 hours, but I guess i'm not that handy. Having somebody to help would probably be wise. And also making sure to read the instructions very carefully certainly helps (I didn't realize I had skipped a step, and had to start over). Biggest issue was getting really small screwdrivers to fit in the small spaces that the fan required. Also trying to fit the remote transponder into the fixture, and then get the wires around it was not so easy. But i got it done eventually. Also, when I got to the very end, when I was screwing in the 3 lightbulbs, I realized that one of them didn't fit. The 3 are supposed to sort of overlap in a circle. But one of them was not angled enough to allow the bulb to fit; it simply went straight into the next bulb's socket. The good news is that the 800 number is manned by real humans, even on Saturday. So I got somebody to talk to (it was the 2nd time of the process), and she sent out a new light plate, which I received a week later. In the meantime, I did bend the socket down a few degrees so that the 3rd bulb was able to be screwed in. So now I have an extra light plate, just in case. Now that it's installed, I'm pleased with its performance. It's much quieter than the one I replaced. and has so far done exactly what it's supposed to do. Not sure why it was so cheap -- I paid $115 for it, when most fans I had shopped for a few months ago were in the $200 range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Always change the remote settings Nice fan. Does everything we thought it would. Always change the remote settings. We purchased 2 different fans, but the factory remote settings were the same for both. Had a humorous (after the fact) back and forth with house guests as the fans kept mysteriously turning on and off by themselves. Had to disassemble one to change the settings after we figured out what the problem was. Otherwise no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good. Light dome is plastic though. I bought this fan to replace an 8-year old Home Depot Bali model fan which was fine until my kids broke one of the blade arms with a ball in the house. Could not find a replacement blade arm any longer so had to scrap the whole fan. My advice: buy a spare blade arm whilst new. This new fan looks good installed in my 10 foot ceiling. Glad it is a 10 foot ceiling though otherwise the scratches inside the light dome would show. Scratches caused by the light bulbs in their rectangular cardboard packaging laying loose in the PLASTIC, yes plastic-not glass bulb housing during shipping. I'd of paid $10-$20 more for a glass light dome as it makes the fan seem cheap. Are you reading this in Atlanta?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but Noisy We bought two of these when we built our new home and both of them rattle when on speeds higher than low. If it was just one I would say it was a fluke, but both of them do the exact same thing. Our builder's electrician installed them so I am not able to comment on ease of installation. I only know that the annoying rattle at higher speeds has been there since day one.
