Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NaturIsle Nice; it matches my 4 light product of the same design aesthetic.
The light went up well, the instructions are complete, and relatively pain free for a first timer. Doing things in the prescribed order are important and make things easier. Once the halogens die, I will replace with LED lamps. It will be great for the plants I have in the corner, and low wattage for the electric bill.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by farmgirl95602 I love being able to see into my closet
I already had a lamp and a fan light in my bedroom, but still couldn't see to find something in my closet without bright sunshine outside.
I didn't need another hole in the ceiling for the unit that powers the track, so I opted to get part # 516063 Conduit connector power feed which allowed me to plug it into a receptacle. I also ordered a 298117 Straight connector to put 2 tracks together to cover the length of the closet.
The double length of the track made it hard to hold up and attach to the ceiling without someone to hold up one end, but I managed by starting at the middle and working towards each end.
I was upset that the 2 of the glass shades on the lights were broken in transit. Being a DIYer I substituted some black metal ones that were laying around in the garage. As you can see, they stick out like sore thumbs in comparison to the small glass shade. But I have light and can find my clothes early in the morning.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Willwgp Looks nice in the kitchen!
You know when you walk into your house, the first things you look at are the fixtures and lights in each room, starting with the walkway or living room, and then over to the kitchen. Think about it: they really do set the environment and mood for each part of your house. My fiance' and I despised our old ceiling light in the kitchen; we could barely cook together in there with the glaring linear fluorescent lights blazing down on us. It really killed the setting and mood! This track light system fixed the problem!
Installation was fairly easy, taking down the old light and putting up the new one. The instructions were very cryptic and hard to follow. My fiance' was reading the instructions off to me, and I just couldn’t understand the steps, even after looking at the instructions myself! The figures were well-done, but the instructions didn’t seem to explain anywhere that the ground connector part was only supposed to be used to connect the track with another extra track. As an avid DIY guy, this installation had its ups and downs, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I liked that the system came with different mounting options for the ceiling, and had a nice option for placement of the track. You can have the power supply casing anywhere along the track, and the lights can be placed anywhere along the track; just make sure you have the neutral and common connectors of the light bases on the same side of the track! The lights can also be redirected however you like!
-Very nice, very customizable.
-Lights can be oriented in whatever direction you please.
-Looks great in the kitchen!
-These lights aren’t the typical type, they’re special. But that’s the point: if they didn’t use this type of light, the overall appearance with other types of lights would be destroyed.
-Instructions to install were very cryptic.
You will not be disappointed with these lights; they get the job done very nicely! They can be redirected however you like, and if you have lights you truly despise, consider these!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by washergirl Love them, we bought 3 sets
We bought 3 sets , they went up easily and look amazing. This is for a beauty shop that needs some good light. We may even buy more for a different location. Not sure about changing the bulbs, there's a little tool for that (hope we don't lose it) but the bulbs are supposed to last a long time

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mcknzy Easier than instructions
Ok so the first thing I did was read the instructions and oh my are they confusing,If you do what they want you to do first then you can take it apart to do what they want you to do second.Once I figured out what was needed it became clearer.I would recommend doing a dry run on a counter to understand what your doing then its easier to install.once installed it is a beautiful piece of work, its not like some where the light is blazing and harsh. It has frosted glass covers that help defuse the light and gives off a rich white light. The lights lock into place where you need them and are easy to adjust.I highly recommend this track light, but remember the instructions are kind of a pain.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PTGil Let there be light!!!!
This item replaced a florescent tube that was over my kitchen sink. This model came with the house. I always had problems with not enough light; not to mention the humming sound it made when it was turned on. The facelift of this new light kit, the brightness and the quiet sound (no humming) is awesome. I keep the light on over the sink just to look at how beautiful it is and the light illuminates the kitchen wonderfully.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by drw100 like the look, but poor quality
Ordered several of these and connectors because I liked the look of them and wanted to string them together. Installation was easy, but a few quality issues:
1) Several of the lights came with the glass cracked
2) Each track was a slightly different color. They were all brushed nickel, but each color was off. Seemed like they had low quality control.
3) The lights have to be plugged in just right or they go out. If you bump one even a little the light goes out and then you have to mess with it to get it right.
The other thing I didn't like about them is they get really hot.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by weld387 Nice upgrade Lighting
My tv is glass screen plasma. This would reflect the lights in the center of my livingroom, off of the set. My answer was to install these Hampton Bay track lights up over the tv on the ceiling. The install was hard to do because the need for a ceiling fixture had to be done. I had to cut a hole or two. Then feed Romex 14/2 through to the power source for wiring up. The lights look fabulous and no more glare off of my Television. It was a challenge for this do it yourself guy. If there is a fixture in place it would have been a snap to put up.
