I use this cord with my Hampton Bay track lights. You should check to see if your model of Hampton Bay track lights are listed or pictured in the description of the cord. See this link:

In store the black cord is the same as the white - $10.47. However online the black cord is $20.98! Is that a mistake? How can a simple color change be twice as much money?

Linear Track Lighting Live-End Power Feed with 15 ft. Cord and Plug is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Energy efficient lighting The product itself is of good design and quality. Installation can be a bit tricky, but not impossible, just follow the directions and be patient. Although the lighting is dimmable, as with most LED's, it is only to a certain point - not nearly as flexible as halogen. The lowest possible setting is more than adequate light for an office area. The purchase price is only reasonable if you plan on using these for a very long time - the "saved" electricity is a very long pay off. Although, the lack of heat created by these fixtures, might well provide savings, in that a/c wouldn't be triggered - no heat at all compared to halogen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Oil rubbed bronze power feed - appalling coloring The installation and operation of this product was straightforward. You can easily unscrew the cord from the connector, which allows you to trim back the cord to desired length. Or you can substitute a different cord if you want to. Why would you want to do this? Read on ... This is the white version of the same product, but spray painted brown. Other parts of this system (e.g. 8 ft track, 4 ft track, linear connector) in oil rubbed bronze are similarly painted. The paint scratches off easily, exposing the white plastic underneath. If they had at least started with the black version, the scratches would not be so visible. The "power switch" is just a small plastic box which plugs into the outlet, and which the power cord plugs into. Pro is that you don't need to use this switch if you don't need it. Like the rest of the system, it is also spray painted brown. But what is most appalling is that the power cord itself is, like the rest of the system, a white version that has been spray painted brown. Come on, guys. Brown power cords are available off-the-shelf. Again, one careless scratch and you see the white cord underneath the paint. Fortunately, you can unwire the cord and replace it if you want to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from made installing quick and easy =) I did not want to have to go up in the attic and install a new box and run the wiring... I just wanted to hang up a light and plug it in and this let me do that very thing!!! I first ran the wiring down next to a window frame (which almost made it vanish) and put the white end on the ceiling so I could see exactly where I needed to mount the Track for the lights... being white was perfect because the ceiling and walls were so it matched well... I am going to for sure buy another one of theses for each additional track light I hang... this is a no thinker... just buy it!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great and simple to install, except ... Overall it does the job that I expected. My only complaint is that the "switch" is a separate add-on piece you plug the power feed into, then plug the switch into a wall outlet. I would have preferred an integrated inline switch. But functionally it works fine. If you plug into a switched outlet then just remove the plug-in switch.
