Bought to have on the deck for those few chilly nights in the Michigan summer. Put together very easy and clear instructions. Sturdy once together though there was a period during the assembly that I felt is was a little wobbly and wouldn't work out but once it was together it was very sturdy. Main drawback in my opinion is the lack of a good grate on the bottom to allow for a gap between bottom and wood for airflow, the handle to open has the wrong type of bolt and becomes loose after several uses, we've replaced after loosing the nut under the deck. All in all, I would purchase this again if I needed another one. I hope it lasts for at least 5 years if not longer. It looks nice, it functions well, and is a good addition to the deck. Should include a cover, the one we have fits but because of it's odd shape, it's not a great fit.

The chimenea was a little bent and it was hard to get the screws in. The door is horrible and hard to close as it is crooked. I don't like the fact that it did not come with a wood grate or protective cover. As per other reviews, I did purchase the lower grate for weber grill and it fits fine. Again, I wish it came with a cover to protect it from the elements.

It works well, and my husband loves it. It fits well on our porch and allows us to enjoy the outdoors more often. I don't have any complaints. We really love how it looks and that the family could sit all the way around it and enjoy the fire if wanted to.
I guess it might be nice if there was an easy way to clean the ash out of the bottom like a trap door.

What I do like about this product is the width which is enough to hold 4 logs inside. It is attractive and the finish is appealing but I wonder how long the finish will last. The opening on top does make sure that smoke escape upwards with the cover out of the way. I like this option so I can use it during nights when it is not too cold but just to keep the mosquito at bay. The top can also be used open to roast marshmallows so you don't have to directly roast under direct fire.
Most of the people have given this product bad review due to missing parts and I am here to confirm their annoyance. Also the fit of the body will not allow the door to close because the hardware is too short for the mechanics to close the door and I guess that is why they didn't bother to include the nuts and bolt missing because you can't use the locking mechanism. Also there is no drain hole if water is ever to come in contact inside the fire pit. But one thing that I did notice is that the clearance under the fire pit doesn't get hot at all. I guess because of the air current while the fire pit is in use. This might be a good fire pit to put on the deck providing you have adequate enough protection to put under the fire pit. However the recommendation is not to use on deck so I would follow what they recommended. Also once you set this fire pit and the fire is going there is no moving this because handle is not provided.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rokfather Okay... We'll see how it turns out long term.
Several pieces are not cast iron at all, including the legs and lower base. Fit and finish was less than perfect when assembling the unit. For instance, the hole for the loop holding the chimney cover was too big and no washers were included, so the loop looks crooked after tightening the nut that holds it on.
The biggest weakness is probably the fire surface. There is now ventilation or grate. Incidentally, I figured out that a Weber charcoal grate (the lower grate in the 22.5 in. model) will fit very nicely into the bottom to help solve this problem. I will probably also drill holes in the bottom to aid further ventilation and water drainage when it rains.
Bottom line: I shouldn't have to modify this thing to make it function properly. I'm glad I got it at a 30 percent discount, otherwise I'd feel I overpaid for the level of quality.

I bought this chiminea for my fiancé for Christmas and he loves it! We have only had fires a few nights because it's been too cold but it has been great the few nights we did.
I took one star away because it was a pain to put together and one hole wasn't drilled enough to put a screw in all the way.
Other than that it's amazing!

Was purchased as a gift. Cannot accurately rate but product looked good and appeared to be of good quality so I will give it a 4.
