What is the pattern repeat? With such a striking look, I want to make sure there are plenty of patterns.

There were five patterns in the first box I bought and it looks very repetitive with only 5.
Asked by: HomeDepotSLC
I don't know the exact pattern repeat frequency but it wasn't an issue for me. I put it into a master bedroom that is 12'x16' and this product was great and pattern repeat was not an issue

Does this require an adhesive for installation?

I know some laminate flooring requires adhesive for installation and long lasting durability. Does this?
Asked by: jhooley
It does not required adhesive, but I supposed it could not hurt using it. However, if you are a pro then I am sure you will figure out the installations due to the small groves which made it difficult to install for me. If you are a DYI, then I will stay away from using the adhesive because I can not imagine the huge headache trying to click the floor together and then adding the glue into the mix. It could be very frustrating! I installed it without the adhesive, and it is installed in top of a heating floor pad. It works great!

Eager to purchase this to do my entire house but I am concerned about the reviews regarding water causing the board edges to bubble up.

One reviewer said they had water on a spot for barely 15mins and the boards became swollen. That's not what I expect from laminate. It would be a pain to have to undo my entire living room simply to replace a few boards either at the middle or opposite end of the room. This is definitely my best pick of the options available online, but that water issue has me concerned. Have any others had problems with this?
Asked by: Soby
I haven't seen any issues like this. I remember reading the review over a year ago that referenced the bubbling. I actually took a scrap piece of this after my installation and put a teaspoon of water on the scrap piece over night and there were not any issues. (The scrap piece was smooth and did not have a scratch or anything that would have exposed the interior of the product) But anyway my floors have been in for over a year now without any bubbling. I don't really spill much water and try to clean up immediately of course. But no issues for me in a master bedroom

Maple Grove Natural 12 mm Thick x 6-3/16 in. Wide x 50-1/2 in. Length Laminate Flooring (17.40 sq. ft. / case) is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, but flawed design, and easily damaged. I love the look of this flooring, but the wide gaps in between the planks are a problem - if they get wet at all, the material will bubble and warp, and the planks will need to be replaced. Also, the wide gaps allow the plank edges to chip easily. If the planks were closer together, neither of these things would be an issue. This flooring has a 5 wear rating, and the laminated part of the flooring is definitely durable, but again, since the space in between the planks is not laminated, it is extremely susceptible to water damage and chipping. Spend the extra money and get better quality flooring, or make sure you buy lots of extra material. You're gonna need it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cleaning We have had this laminate in our home for 2 years. From the minute they laid it I've hated it. When it is clean it is beautiful! But clean isn't something you can get with these floors! I've tried it all! I've tried every kind of solution, mop, and yes I've tried plain water! You mop and 2 seconds later it is smudged as if I cleaned it with Vaseline. Not recommended.

Only just put the flooring down but was surprised how sharp it looks with the two tone color variation of the wood, really stands out. Also the thickness of the product is impressive and especially considering the price. Not too easy to scratch either, did a test with a car key and it made no impression on the flooring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful floor! Just needs better packaging. We have placed multiple orders of this floor to finish the floors in our entire house. While the floor looks stunning, every time we place an order there is always a few boxes that have edged dented or chipping. Some boxes come with both ends chipped so that the piece is not salvageable. If it is just one end you can often cut the bad end off and utilize it somewhere; however, if both ends come damaged it is a complete waste. I love the look of this floor and feel the pricing is fair; however, they need to put something hard around the corners of the wood inside the box to protect the edges of the flooring better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this product more than a year after purchase In short, I do recommend this product. I'm very happy with it. For the price paid this is a good value. It's not the absolute best flooring but it's great for the price and has held up surprisingly well. It was pretty easy to install and looks great. I inspected all the product when I got it to my house and I only found one piece with an imperfection out of enough flooring for nearly 200 sq ft. The main thing is that this flooring is very good in general and great for value. I liked it enough in one bedroom that I'm now using it in the second and third bedrooms.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk My wife and I purchased this flooring a little over a year ago to put down in our bedrooms, hallway, and fireplace room. I have placed thousands of square feet of laminate flooring and usually recommend pergo brand flooring. Why i strayed from pergo in my own house is beyond me. Alot of flooring gets bad reviews simply because a lot of so called DYI people don't know what they are doing and struggle snapping it together. This particular flooring was rather simple in my opinion. The reason I am giving it 1 star and would not recommend this product is that it is simply not holding up. The micro bevel is a very attractive part of the flooring but I also believe it is part of our problem. If you look at the edges of our flooring you can see it beginning to delaminate at the edges and makes it look like a cheap sub par laminate floor. I can assure you that they have never been wet and we clean them with a damp lint free cloth followed by a dry lint free cloth so there is little to no moisture. I placed pergo in my parents house about 5 years ago and although i told my mom not to steam mop them she does weekly with no damage to the floors. They claim there is a 50 year residential warranty but you can forget about that as they are sure to find and issue with the installation or the way you clean them etc. and will void your warranty. For my wife and I this was one of those live and learn moments they tell you about, unfortunately it cost us 2 grand to learn! I will stay away from Hampton Bay flooring in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from keep liquid away from this flooring the flooring looked beautiful for the week it was installed until my puppy had an accident and peed on the floor. i was gone for an hour and came home to the corners of the planks that were wet lifting up, leaving an area in the middle of the floor that is now ruined. i contacted hampton bay warranty department. they said this is not a manufacturer's defect because i did not clean it up right away. this means i have to pay my flooring installer to come back out to uninstall the flooring and replace the affected planks. i am very disappointed that they are selling a subpar product and saying that if it gets wet but not cleaned up right away, it is acceptable for the flooring to fall apart. i do not recommend this prodcut

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only had the floor in a week but like them so far Removed every bit of carpet in our home. Very good looking product and the installer said he really liked it and is bringing his wife over to see if she wants to put it in their home... Don't know if you can get a better recommendation than that. Dog and cats don't seem to like it a whole lot though since they can't gain any traction...
