Yes. Our old fan and light were on separate switches. This one works with one switch and the remote controls the light and fan speed.

I think so. My electrician hooked it up to the same switch my other ceiling fan was hooked up to. There is a remote to control light and fan

Yes, this works off of one switch. We have the wall switch turned on and then use the remote all of the time to turn on the fan, set the speed and to turn the light on and off.

Answer:
This light will work without separate switches because it also has a remote control. So you could run it off of one switch but I would check with an electrician to make sure you are not overloading a switch.

Answer:
Yes, the fan only requires one set of wires (hot, neutral, and ground) to function because it comes with a remote that allows for operation of the light and fan motor separately. No need for multiple hot lines to wire the fan and light separately unless you want to be able to control the fan and light from different switches.

Hi Cary,
Yes, the remote will control the light and the fan independently. There is no need for an extra switch with this fan.

The battery does not come with the fan. It takes a small battery that fit in fans and can be found on the rack of batteries at Home Depot. It is called an A23 battery and costs about the same as more commonly used batteries. Get the batteries before you install the fan since they run off the remote which needs these batteries to work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty Installer said it was a piece of cake to install! Looks beautiful, is sooo quiet and cools the kitchen in seconds. I chose this because it looks great with the stainless appliances! March 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dont buy 1. It makes loud noise 2. when I lower the speed for fan, the light automatically becomes dim 3. Some time fan don't easily switch the reverse 4. hard to turn the light on and off some time 5. high speed is like medium or low speed of table fan. I bought 4 fans, I took it down few times to adjust to get rid of noise, it works for some time and after day or so it comes back so very difficulty to easily adjust the mounting. if you install this, you will need external light as the light is not bright enough to come 11x12 room. I am doomed as I installed the fans and not that easy to pack and return. bottom line, its good looking fan but when it comes to usage and performance, its not worth it. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice! Bought one when we had our kitchen/dining room remodeled in 2014. We love the sleek design. It was a great fit for the contemporary style we chose to go with. Moves plenty of air for a three bladed fan. Remote control was a plus. We liked it so much, we recently bought two more for our large living room. Only thing we didn't like were the included light bulbs. Too dim with yellowish light. Suggest buyers replace them with "daylight" LEDs. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome fan I love everything about my new fan! My 16 year old son installed it within 1 hour and it not only looks fabulous, but works well too! May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good fan for the money. The installation was easy, has a good modern appearance & when you are done no screws show. It is very good & the remote works at a good distance. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice design I'm very happy with this fan/light. I didn't install it myself, so I can't speak to that, but it looks and works great! The remote control is also a nice feature. May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enough head room My husband is taller than average, so we needed a fan that would provide enough clearance for him. Our previous fan provided enough clearance, but had no lights. This fan provides both. Although I would like a wider range of fan speeds, we're happy with it. April 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking, but doesn't last I purchased two of these last year and had them professionally installed and they worked fine for a while. Just after the warranty expired, the fan on the first one stopped working, about six months later the same happened to the other one. April 18, 2016
