How do i replace the light bulb

Fan was here when I bought the house, now I need to replace light bulb. Im not what sure what part of the fixture come off to expose the light bulb. Help please. Im pretty sure it's this mercer 52 in. white
Asked by: dave
I had similar question. 'How to replace the light bulb' although obvious and intuitive it was more about 'how do you get the glass lens to unscrew'? It's impossible. Have used rubber gloves for a bit more traction and it will not budge. Sadly, unscrewed white ring/lens combo, and now it's just dismantled. Even if I finally get it off - is this going to be the process each time? I've had fixture for about a year. Cannot imagine that they will take it back, but I cant go through this for a simple light bulb.

Is the "reverse" function on the remote itself or on top of ceiling fan?

Meaning do you have to get up on a chair and flip a switch for it to go in reverse and can you just press a button on the remote itself to go in reverse?
Asked by: brown158
the reverse function is on top of the fan. It is well indicated, instruction manual and sticker on fan ie, which direction to cool or warm the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan for low ceilings. Quiet and looks great. I'm a big fan of ceiling fans but our house has eight foot ceilings and I'm 6'2", so I've been using room fans instead. After staying in vacation rental with eight foot ceilings with fans installed, I decided to go for it as soon as we got home. When using the close installation method, this fan is perfect. It looks great this way too! There is so much less noise than our previous room fans and no floor clutter. My wife loves the clean lines of the fan and the "transitional" decor style. We sleep with it on high and it keeps the room nice and cool. It's not as fast as some of the previous fans we've had, but works very well. Although some have complained about the install, I thought it was pretty simple. It took about the same amount of time as other fans I've installed in the past. I'm no expert and this was pretty darn simple, just the usual steps, which take time. I think I had it up and running in under an hour. The light puts off enough room light, about the same as our previous light fixture, but I wish there was an LED option, rather than the halogen T4 bulb. The dimmer option is really cool too. The remote works well, but I may install the light switch version, we'll see. I intend to buy three more of this exact fan for my other rooms once they go back on sale. Very happy with this purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This fan looks good but disappoints. Install was easy until I got to the blades which took over 30 minutes because the pilot holes in the blades were so difficult to line up with the threads. After that frustration was over the final straw was that the remote doesn't control the fan well at all. Instructions say to run the fan for 15 minutes which I did. Then I switched on the light but the dimmer did not work. Light dimmed but would not brighten. Then the remote would not turn the light off or change the fan speed or turn the fan off. So I turned off the power at the switch to reset everything. Still nothing. With the power off I climbed back up on the ladder and made sure the antenna wasn't crimped. It was not. The fan was so much trouble getting installed that I hate to remove it but it goes back to HD today. A couple of pull chains would be just fine for me since my ceiling is not extremely high but the fans with pull chains are not stylish at all. I'll order a Casablanca. Sorry Hampton Bay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fan & Easy Installation Ordered this fan online and it was delivered very quickly. The installation was simple and straightforward. No problems of any kind. The remote works as advertised and even dims that light (dimming capability was listed as "NO" on the website). I'm extremely satisfied with this ceiling fan and the entire process.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Accessories Very beautiful ceiling fan. But the light went out after 1 month and for some reason finding a replacement bulb is look win the lotto. I gave up 8 months ago. But today is the day and I'm determined to find one. The funny thing is I'm a web designer but looking for this bulb on home depot's site is making me feel dumb. Shouldn't it be list next to the fan as an accessory or a recommended item? Shouldn't the bulb type and model number be in the description? Hmmmm!!!
