Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Update after One Year of Use... This fan started to fail about a couple of months after I wrote my last review. Here are my main complaints: 1: The screws that hold the blades on come loose WAY to often. 2: The metal brackets are literally falling apart where the 2 pieces are soldered or welded together (not sure how the 2 pieces are held together, see photos to see what I mean) 3: THIS FAN BARELY MOVES ANY AIR AT ALL. Come on now, $110 for this fan that lasted only a year? At high speed, this fan moves 2843 CFM (cubic feet per minute). For a 44 inch fan, this is very very poor. It is pretty nice looking, but thats about all this fan has going for it. Another thing that I do not like about this fan is that the maximum wattage light bulb that can be used is 14 watts. And it has to be a CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulb. The fan barely provides any light, and because most CFL bulbs cannot be dimmed, the fan has no dimmer option. Not to mention the fact that this fan does NOT meet energy star requirements. One other complaint I have is this, but I might just be being a little bit too picky with this one. The remote controller does not have a "reverse" button. The way to reverse the direction of rotation on this fan is by a switch on the top of the fan, and that might be a problem for people that mount this fan on a high ceiling. I however am 6 feet tall and my ceilings are only 7 and a half feet high, so this was not really an issue for me. If you read my last review... DISREGARD EVERYTHING I SAID. I did recommend this product after about a week of use, but after a year, I do not recommend this product. June 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by You WILL do better if you buy A DIFFERENT FAN Install went about as easy as expected. No surprises. Good mounting bracket makes it fairly straightforward. It ENDS THERE. Wobbles horribly. It was not the blades, but the housing itself. MOVES NO AIR on anything but high speed. Keep the packaging. There's a good chance you'll be returning this one. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love My Midili fan Because my kitchen is very beachy, we painted the paddles white.. The light isn't very bright, but I have so many other lights in the kitchen, it doesn't matter... My cabinets, handles, lights, wood trim for the tray ceiling, pendants as well as the fan all come from HOME DEPOT... I love my kitchen! March 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Receiver failer at first, but quick response and service from company We purchased this to replace a bedroom fan, and it looks great! The contractor that helped us install it immediately noticed some issues with the receiver, so we called the company and they sent us a new one immediately (we had it in less than a week). The fan looks great and the remote is ideal. September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish Bedroom Fan I specifically needed a ceiling fan for my son's bedroom that was only 44 inches wide and could be operated using a remote control since he is in a wheelchair and cannot easily get to a wall switch. This was the only reasonably priced fan I could find so, after reading the reviews, I bought it and hoped for the best. Well, I can't tell you how delighted he is with his fan. The fan produces quite a breeze for his 100 square foot room and he can turn it off from his bed whenever he gets chilly. The remote has a wall mount so he can always find it on the wall right next to his bed. The light also works with the remote or the wall switch so I can turn it on & off without having to grab the remote but I do have to remember to set the wall switch to the "on" position so he can use the remote when I'm not in the room. We had an electrician do most of the installation since he was running a line in the ceiling for us. He said it was pretty easy. My husband just had to put in the light kit and blades which wasn't too hard either. Everyone, including the electrician, has commented on how nice the fan looks. The light isn't especially bright but it is just right for a bedroom. The kit comes with the cfl bulb, which is only one and not two as stated. We did have to supply the battery for the remote but were expecting to, so we were prepared. All in all, this fan is just perfect for my son's bedroom. It is quiet and creates quite a breeze. Although I cannot attest to its longevity since I have only had it for one month, I would highly recommend it. August 16, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Installation is awful The directions were poorly written for starters. Hiding the remote receiver was next to impossible. The receiver seems much to large and the developers clearly did not attempt installation after the design. If you are a DIY person avoid this fan. July 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, functional fan. I have purchased two of these fans. They were as easy to install as any other ceiling fan and I love the remote. It was easy to set the remotes so as to not interfere with each other and they fit nicely in the two spare rooms. I love having the remotes instead of the chains hanging down. I installed one fan two years ago and have had no trouble with it so I installed the other one in the room next door a month ago. I have no complaints and like them very much. November 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a fan of this fan Fan doesn't move much air and no dimmer feature on the light. Its' OK for a small room. Remote died after warranty. Remote replacement cost was $45 -almost half of what i paid for the entire fan! October 21, 2015
