1st one had a clatter in it, but HP got another one out immediately. I returned the bad one to My local HP store.
Only" good" on quality because the motors are louder than I am use to on ceiling fans.
Installation was easier than others I have installed.
The look of these is outstanding. Fit and finish is perfection.
I didn't pick up that these had remote control when I ordered, but I really like it as both fans can operate with one control.
We have these on a covered patio so noise is not as much of a concern as an indoor install would be. There is a definite motor working "hum to these.
We put flicker lights in them. Looks super.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Engineer Great Fan / Light not bright enough
I am not sure how some people talk about adjusting the light level. The user manual does not tell you how to adjust light level.
The Fan installed nice, and it is quiet even on high.
I love the Fan. Lighting! I can't even see well enough to see some things on the floor. I am 6ft and have good eye sight. The Fan is mounted a few inches above my head, and does not light my 16ft x 16ft living room very well.

As others have mentioned, the fan has a wireless "remote" but the controller is intended to be installed in a light switch outlet as opposed to being used as a handheld remote. The controller used a 9V battery to supply power and sends the signal to a wireless receiver that has to be installed in the top cover. I already had separate switches for the light and fan speed to control the previous fan so I did not want to use enclosed remote and receiver. Therefore, I did not install them but instead "hard wired" it to the existing wires that were used to power the previous fan/light. I had to purchase a 3 fan speed controller to replace the old switch in order to take advantage of the 3 speeds. It works great. I've attached 2 pictures of the transmitter (on the right) and the receiver that goes into a light outlet.
The install itself was fairly straight forward, especially if you have installed ceiling fans before. The one issue is the light was slightly off. I thought the light kit wires has caused it to not level so I had to the light kit off but still it did not work. Use my hand a little force I pushed up on the lower end and the light is now perfect. No big deal but just in case it happens to you you can try what I did.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jazzy0213 Low Light Purchase LED bulbs.
If you are serving a romantic dinner or want some ambiance with your meal, the lighting in a dining room would be fine. I was disappointed with the amount of light it out putted after coming from a fan light kit with 3 halogen spot/flood lights. Ordering 3 6w LED bulbs ASAP. I removed the glass insert in hopes of more light. If you look at the light kit, it has metal pretties coming down the side. Those create shadows. I had not thought about it. It is solid at the top, so no light shines upwards.
The in wall mount remote controls buttons are a bit small. If you have sight or physical problems, I would recommend getting a wall unit with sliders, or buttons that glow or light up. If you don't already have a hole in your wall, you are going to need to cut one.
I care for disabled and elderly in my home. I didn't want them having to reach up for pull cords.
The wall unit is a bit small for those that are challenged and until you remember which button does what, if it is in a dark area, no light on unit for buttons.
The living room, dining room and kitchen will be well served with this fan. Air movement is great.
My goal in getting this fan was to move enough air to get the fans off of the floor and move air down the hallway. In this area it does great!
Due to the weight, unless you work out or have a bit of muscle, have a fan buddy help you install.
Plenty or wire to work with. It says it is dimmable, not sure how as of yet without an actual wall dimming unit.
All in all, I am pleased with it's looks and installation. Disappointed with how it lights a 12' x 15' room.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sneakers Excellent air movement and lighting for pourch
Excellent air movement on all three speeds. Lighting is bright enough to read the paper disappointed in the remove as the info on website said it was a remote. Remotes to me mean hand held - not one that is in the wall. That would be a wall mount control - not remote. I wanted a hand held remote so was disappointed.

We didn't install them because we converted can lights to fan. Comes with two sets of blades. One for outdoors and one for indoors. One fan does make a rubbing noise but the other one is quiet. No problem with balancing. The remote is intended to be mounted on the switch. We had to buy universal remotes because we had one switch that controlled both fans, we wanted independent operations.

DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! The wall mounted remote is a useless piece of junk. After one weeks use it quit working. Changed the battery and still only works when it wants to. Beautiful fan but no way to turn on or off without the useless remote.
