No. The instructions state that it can't be used with a dimmer remote. If a dimmer is used, the lights will flicker on start up.

Answer:
If you use the remote switch that comes with the fan, the light is able to be adjusted. It is not a bright light to begin with if you use the bulbs that it comes with but you could get ones that put out a little more light if that is what you are looking for.

Answer:
No, this fan is not a flush mount, however it does come with two different size extension rods. One is about 6 inches and the other 18 inches I believe. Due to my cathedral ceiling, I had to purchase a 36 inch extension rod and even on the highest fan speed, the fan does not sway and remains in place.

The distance from the ceiling to the top of the motor is only 6". I don't think you can get it any shorter. I measured the distance on mine from ceiling to the fan blades and it is only 12". By the way great fan, with substantial air movement, & totally quiet .

Yes. It comes with a remote control that fits into a switch outlet. It is not wired to anything, but just fits in the space. You can use any fan remote control (all you need to do is make sure the code is correct on the toggle inside the remote control). Be advised...YOU CAN'T USE A LIGHT DIMMER REMOTE CONTROL WITH THIS FAN!!!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 146 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Bought 4 of these fans for our outdoor porch on our pole barn. They look great and function well. A couple things to note. 1.) the wireless remotes is a nice tough but I had to space out the remotes on my 48 foot front porch since the fans remote range is only about 20 feet. 2.). Also, if you are mounting these on a metal ceiling (like I did) make sure the antenna is placed inside the cover of the fan or you will get VERY POOR RANGE! I almost took these fans back because the remote range was literlly 3 feet! 3.) I wish the lights dimmed. It's all or nothing. Otherwise a great fan and love the appearance it has created with 4 of them on my pole barn front porch. September 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No pull chain We started to install the fan and then realized that there were no pull chains - it only works off of the remote. We followed what it said but ended up calling in an electrician to finish the job. Cannot get the fan to work from the remote. We checked the receiver and it is synced but we can't figure it out. Hopefully the electrician gets it working. It is a very nice looking fan. Love the light fixture. October 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by something wrong Not sure yet what the problem is. The light works, but not the fan. They are sending a new capacitor to see if that fixes it. Customer service was very helpful in walking my husband through all the steps to see if they could figure out what is wrong, but now after installing the fan, it has to be taken down and wait for the capacitor to arrive (7 to 10) days and then installed again to see if that fixed it. A lot of extra work! October 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great design! Great look and seems to be good quality. The only thing I was disappointed with was that it was pre-determined that you hardwire the control to your wall. I wanted a remote control, so had to swap out the controller in the guts of the fan assembly with the remote control unit purchased seperately, which the installer had a hard time with. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful fan We love this fan, looks great in the guestroom even though it is rated for outdoor use. I did have my handyman install this one because I needed it as close to the ceiling as possible. He installed the remote on the wall switch and I covered it with a switchplate I adapted from a piece of old tin ceiling tile. Easily solved the issue others had with the remote. Couldn't beat the price on the fan! October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice fan! Installed in a spec home. This fan was just what we needed for the appearance that we were looking for in this particular home. Good quality fan! October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outdoor Ceiling Fan This was a great choice for my front porch. I've received a lot of compliments on it. September 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DID NOT WORK Bad motor !We Opened up The brand new box and it did not work! My electrician spent some time on it before re-boxing it back up. I now have to pay my electrician to return back and install another one that I purchased. "This fan power should have been factory tested prior to shipping it out the door to me"! September 6, 2016
