How much light wattage comes from the uplight and....the down light?

Miramar 60" weathered bronze ceiling fan!
Asked by: ER
The lighting is really dim - it doesn't do a very good job of lighting up a whole room. I am very unhappy with this fan. We installed it in a vaulted ceiling and after 6 months it stopped working altogether. Don't waste your money - there are other fans out there that have better lighting that are much cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely gorgeous! This fan is exactly what we wanted to provide light and cool the air. It does both very well. I love that the lights operate independently. The remote was a must as it is in a room with a very tall open beam ceiling. After reading the reviews about the difficult installation, we had it professionally installed. Seems like money well spent. We enjoy the look and versatility of this fan every day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan We wanted a fan with ambient lighting for our semi-vaulted ceiling. This one had a nice craftsman look about it with two soft light options. One glows below and the other glows on the ceiling. It comes with a nice remote and was okay to assemble. It has many pieces to put together but is well worth it once you are done. We couldn't happier with this fan!

Love this fan/lights, my only complaint is that to replace the upper lights (above the fan), the lower light unit and fan blades must be removed in order to gain access to the upper lights. There seems to be little access panels to each of the 4 upper lights, but because I installed LED lamps those would not fit through those access panels.

It is quite heavy, 40 lbs or so, make sure the ceiling mount is secure. The upper lights are easy to replace. There are four screened vents on top each secured with two phillip screws. Remove screws, lift out section, replace bulb. The lower light requires removing glass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Beautiful The electrician knew what he was doing but the install took some time. The fan/light is very big and heavy. It comes with a remote(wonderful). We have ten foot ceilings and bought the extension rod but do not need it. If you have taller ceilings would probably purchase extension rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love it! At first we thought this fan may be too big for our cozy family room, but now everybody loves it. The choice of having an up light or a down light , or both at the same time is wonderful. And having a remote control is one of those things I never knew I wanted until I had it.

The remote control receiving unit went out and the lower light could not be turned on. It cost me $75.00 to have an electrician swap out the fans. Hopefully this one will last longer.
