Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JTFixIt Bought 3, 1 is going back - Very limited directed light
There is a lot to love about this fan and light and also a few short comings. I have now installed 2 of these; I bought 3, the other one is going back due to insufficient light (and a broken transmitter). If this is the only light for a very large room, you will want a different fan. It's a downward, directed light. It will not fill a room with light, even on the brightest setting. It's perfect for a dining room or kitchen table or a room with additional lights.
-So stylish! I love the colors, perfect matte black and brushed nickel to match all my other upgrades
-Zero noise - if the blades weren't moving I wouldn't know it was on
-Remote with dimmer-I love the remote and the fact that there are no pull chains
-Ease of assembly-these were very easy to put together IF you read the instructions step by step. Order of operation = ease of assembly. If you just try to do it, you will re-do some things
-Price-I got these for $69.50 on during the Thanksgiving/Christmas sale
-Light output - even at the highest setting this is not very much light. The one over my dining room table is perfect and the one in my living room is fine as I have other light sources, but my bedroom needs a different option as it is very large and has a vaulted ceiling.
-Size of transmitter-fitting all the wire nuts AND this transmitter into the box and canopy was difficult, making the installation harder than it needed to be. Cutting the wires from the fan to the shortest length (while giving only a smidgen of room for stripping error) was the best bet to getting everything to fit.
-Dimmer control-I'm happy it has one, but you have to control the dimmer by holding the light button on the remote down until it reaches the setting you want. and then it cycles between bright and dim... all while you're holding the button down. So, if you want brighter, it's possible to miss it and then you have to wait for it to cycle all the way back down to dim and then back up to brighter. Two buttons, one for up and one for down would have been preferable.
-Broken transmitter-1 of the 3 fans was delivered with a broken transmitter (I tried it in both installed fans and it didn't work in either of them)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by blur wobbles!!! nice looking though. good light, with dimmer on remote.
"Balancing Kit" included is a trial and error workaround that only helps somewhat. At this price point, I would have expected an internal balancing system.

Love the look of this fan. It really gives the room a modern feel. Nice remote that comes with it. There is a dimmer on the remote for the light.
Installation much more difficult than it needed to be. Thank goodness it only needs to be done once.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dmc888 Poor Design Lighting is Dim for large room
This fan has a poor design. First the controller box barely fit inside the base cover. Pain to install.
Then to lock the base requires metal on metal contact which shows scratches on the base after install. Not very noticeable but you can see them.
And this has to be the most wobbly fan I have seen. A pinky can move it off center easily . A little support would have been fine. The balancing kit didn't help at all with no support on the pole. On low it wobbles like crazy.
The lighting is pretty dim. With a frosted lense and bulb. I thought 100w would be enough for my large bedroom but its not. I will try a clear since the bulb just blew.

We did a lot of research before ordering this fan and we were nervous even about this one when we finally made a decision - but - we love it! It was our first ceiling fan installation so it was not the easiest to put in, but we are confident now that if we ordered another fan it would take a small fraction of the time to install now that we've learned. Overall, this fan circulates the air really well, it is powerful but not loud at all, and the light illuminates the whole room. I am very happy to have a remote control for it and the appearance of the fan is very contemporary and really is a nice focal point for our room. We couldn't be happier!

I bought this on sale after Thanksgiving. It was what I was looking for, modern and simple to go with any style decor, yet timeless. At half off there was nothing else I needed to think over. It's been up for less than a month but I am very happy so far. We had to purchase a 4-foot down rod but it is a good size for the family room. It gives off a good amount of light but maybe not enough if it's your only source of light.

Actually moves a decent amount of air for four blades.
Stylish. No irregular shapes or crevices to collect dust.
The second most annoying fan install in my life. I wish they'd learn from a thing or two from Hunter designs. You literally have to take this apart to put it together.
Light isn't too dim, but it doesn't flood the room well. It provides one very well lit spot directly below the fan.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fasteddie Easy DIY ceiling fan.
Please read instructions before installing. Put fan together (fan blades) before mounting. Installed seperate wall switches for light and fan (dimmer and fan settings). Did not install remote. Plush looking fan, goes well with decor because of black fan blades. Worth the money at 50% off. I am not an electrician, but if you turn off the right breaker, and follow the instructions, it can be done.
