I wanted to replace the old 80's fan in our guest room. This fan is perfect. It is small but still moves the air around well. I really like the simple design that fits well with our rustic log home.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SSG Worst Fan We've Ever Had
We've only used the fan function of this ceiling fan for a month in our dining room, but we can no longer use it due to a potential bearing issue that makes it incredibly loud. On top of that, the light of the fan is so dim it is barely visible. The bulb is tiny and apparently proprietary.
We have a ceiling fan that is basically useless after only a couple months' use. Having bought plenty of Hampton Bay ceiling fans over the years, this subpar product is thankfully an anomaly, but disappointing nonetheless.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Evan Bulb blew but whatever -- this fan is great!!
I bought this fan for my bedroom. I sleep in the smallest room in my house because it's also the smallest room to cool in the gross Philadelphia summers. It's about 10'x6' -- that small. This fan is perfect. Entirely silent, no wobble, flush to the ceiling, and it comes with its own wall switch so there's no cord bopping me on the head and no remote to lose.
The light is halogen and dimmable, but the bulb that came with mine was a dud. The fan itself has several speeds, and I just leave mine going on the slowest at all times.
I cannot comment on the installation as I hired a guy. One thing I have learned from installing many fans in my house is to always buy two, and then return one. It can save a lot of heartbreak if one small piece is deformed or broken.
- If you're quite tall, you may find that the fan does not hug the ceiling enough.
- The light is not very bright, in the tradition of all ceiling fans.

Super easy to install. Looks great. Definitely let it run for 10min to let it "settle" as the instructions indicate.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaSamNudge Great fan for the kitchen
We bought this fan for out kitchen. Its a good little fan for that room. Here's some pros and cons:
Easy to install
Moves a decent amount of air for being a 32" fan
Fairly lightweight at just under 12 LBS
The light is halogen and not very bright.
The only complaint I have about this fan is the light. It is halogen, meaning it will get VERY hot (I took a temperature reading of the element inside the bulb, almost 700 degrees Fahrenheit) Other than that, I have no complaints. I have some pictures of this fan if anyone is interested. Another thing I should mention is that this fan is controlled by a wall controller.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Parker Not for the bedroom
Purchased this fan for a bedroom because it looks great and matches the style of the other fans (60”) in the house. But there are two problems with the fan in the bedroom.
First, since it is a four speed, I expected the lowest speed to be super-slow. Instead the speeds are Medium-low, medium, medium-fast, and fast. There is no slow speed. Its a shame that manufacturers only state the max airflow and not the airflow for each speed. I probably would not have purchased this fan had I known that the “low” speed was so strong. Also, this is perhaps part of the second problem.
Second, for a bedroom it is noisy. A lot of AC hum. You would think that manufacturers would assume that most small fans are going into bedrooms (usually the smallest rooms) and they would have DC motors for quietness — but not true. I could not find one fan less than 42” with a DC motor.
Another problem, not related to the first two, is that the instruction book (electrical section) is horrible. This fan installs just like any other fan you have ever installed. But the manual is so contorted it looks like you need to hire an electrician to re-wire your fan lines.
Fourth problem, it uses, comes with, a halogen bulb. Fortunately it’s a halogen with an 11mm base and you can purchase replacement bulbs and/or adapters for it. There is warning after warning after warning not to exceed a 50 watt halogen (which is not very bright) but I have read in other reviews here that people are recommending up to 100 watt halogens. NO! Halogens put out a LOT of heat. Do not burn your house down to get decent light. The light globe is fairly thick and blocks a lot of light. Eventually someone will come out with a 100 watt equivalent LED that will fit in this fan. I’m using a GE 40watt equiv LED that is focused and pointed towards the closet. Thats OK for now. Of course, that adds $15 to the cost of the fan for the bulb and 12mm adapter.
Summary: if you must have quiet, get a fan with DC motor. If you don’t like a stiff breeze while you are trying to sleep, this fan won’t work for you. If the fan light is the only source of light for the room, you may need to purchase an additional lamp.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gm Only one minor issue
I would have given this fan a 5 except for the fact that it seems as though three bladed fans, (of which we now have 3 bought at the same time), make more of a pulsing "propeller" sound than fans with 4-5 blades. Otherwise installation was a snap; quality is very good.
