Customer Reviews

Mya Pendant Light-DISCONTINUED is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Transformer issues - solution provided by manufacturer I also had to replace 3 pendants due to faulty transformers. I just contacted the manufacturer and I was told that the cord should not be tucked up inside the canopy, because any additional wire inside the canopy causes the transformer to arc and eventually fail. The cord must be cut to length.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design on 12 V power supply As the majority of reviewers have noted, these pendant lights have a problem with the electronics. I bought and installed three about 9 months ago, and one has failed. I first went to see if I could replace it but Home Depot is out of stock. So next I went online to try and replace it and that is when I found the many reviews indicating problems. Since I am an electrical engineer with design and build experience, I took the power supply apart - it is NOT a transformer, it is a low voltage power supply. While I have not tested the individual components, I am guessing that the most likely failure is in one of the two transistors on the circuit board. The bottom line is this - it's probably a bad design; replacing it with a 12 VDC, 50 W power supply would be nice except most available are either too large or too expensive. The best thing to do is go buy a different pendant light . . . sorry, wish there was better news.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but needs work This is a great looking fixture. However, the transformer seems to be of poor quality and continues to go out. I am now on my third fixture. The first one lasted about 12 months, second about 6 and now the last one about 1 month. I love the design and the look, but am tired of having to continually replace it. The manufacturer needs to take a hard look at this and fix the problem with the transformer. Additionally, I have had the electrical line going into this box checked to ensure there wasn't something wrong in the house electrically. Its the fixture.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WOW I bought 2 of these, after a month one went out, couple months later, the other went. I was very confused to the problem. Went on internet, and all I have to say is wow. How can this happen to so many people, and they still sell this light, hahaha. I sent a mail to europhase, hopefully they will send me free transformers. Other wise, there is an alt. transformer you can buy, of course, I read on the net you could, havent tried it or priced it yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Last I had four installed last spring in my kitchen. Look great but one has already gone dark. Can not figure out how to replace the bulb. After reading other reviews have decided to replace all four.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BAD TRANSFORMERS - Do not buy this light!!! As others have stated, these lights have faulty/defective/junk transformers. I have been through SEVERAL of these lights, and the transformers keep going bad. No replacement transformer is available, so this light is a "throwaway" product when the transformers fail. As others have stated, it's a real shame because it is a nice looking product. I have bought my last one, and will look for a USA made light to replace next time...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should have read all the other reviews I didn't read the reviews before I bought this product. I had the same problems as the others. The transformer died in 2 sec flat. I thought it was our error and had an electrician check it out, $129 later we find we had done nothing wrong. Please do not buy this light. I was so disappointed because I loved the look of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You can buy a replacement transformer for ~$10 These would be excellent if it weren't for the poor quality transformers. I have two of these and got sick of exchanging them but couldn't find anything else I liked as much for our kitchen. I ended up buying inexpensive replacement transformers rated at 60W on ebay and have no issues with these for over a year now.
