It didn't hold up for more than a few months. The plastic would slip on the flagpole thus getting to sunlight to the solar panel. Then it just stopped working.

It took 5 minutes to install this product , no tools were need , I installed it on an existing flag pole that was mounted on the front of my home . I only needed a ladder to reach the flag pole . I checked it the first night after it was installed , and it is working perfectly.

I use this light in my small chicken coop to lengthen fall and winter days so the chickens will lay more eggs. It was easy to install, comes on at dusk and will shut off at sunrise, if left on all night. I unplug it at around 9:00 PM rather than run down the battery unnecessarily. The light is more yellow than I like. I would prefer a white light but it is what it is. Overall, it is a good value, highly recommend.

I am using this as a spot light for an area of my fishpond that you normally can't see after sundown. I have them attached to a tall lansdcappers hook decoration near the pond. The rocks and area I am illuminating is about 10' away and the light is pretty diffuse at that point, but it is bright enough to see the features. I am particularly pleased with the mounting apparatus, it was flexible enough to allow this. You can also wall or flat mount them with provided screws if needed. The small profile and black color make them inobtrusive and not an eyesore. I am intending to buy some more for some other dark spots I would like to highlight that the corded connection between the light and solar panel will allow me to do because I need to go around a corner to get the panel in the sun. The area I have this mounted in is partially shady but the unit still gets enough power to last for several hours after dark which is 11 to 12 o-clock around here.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Patriot Outdoor Black Solar 3-LED Flag Light
Ordered it on-line & picked it up in the store. Did not work. Customer service very good. Sent a replacement that looked like the one I ordered, but only one LED in the light. Also the connections from the light to the panel was different. Subsequent probing with voltmeter and battery showed that the 3 LED light works and the problem was with the solar panel. I cannot tell if the 1 LED is as bright as the 3 LED light because the connections to the solar panel are different.

After the 4th, I realized I needed to light up the stars and stripes and this solar flag light did the job. Installation was a breeze. It took me less than five minutes (with most of that time adjusting the step ladder around the hedges). The solar panel can be mounted separately from the LED light, which is nice since it gives a lot of flexibility with the positioning and the cable connecting the two can stretch close to three feet. I ended up attaching both the panel and light together, plugging in the cable and mounting everything about fifteen inches from my Valley Forge flag. By the way, all the hardware that you'll need is in the box, including screws and anchors to mount the parts to a wall if you want. After pulling the plastic tab from the battery compartment on the solar panel, I let it charge up for the day. I can tell you, after a few evenings of coming home and seeing Old Glory lit up, I'm impressed. The light is very bright, about sixteen times brighter than a standard solar light according to the information on the box, and it lights up the entire flag, really giving it a nice, warm look.
