After 2 years I think it is time to review it, no major issues, very bright, only concern, it wont less 6 hours in high light mode, I think it will last about 4,5 hours but for example in the fall from 7 to 11h is good to me since it is bright for majority of time people are looking since this is more for apearance, I just purchased on more!

It seems that solar lights have been around for a while with poor output and the faint blue glow. Finally it has evolved to a great performing light! Sure you can spend a few thousand and have professionals install lighting around your home or you can try this for a fraction of the cost. We bought one to give it a try and installed it at the base of a large tree. It easily shines 25-30 feet up into the tree. We have bought two more since, one for a Japanese maple and the other for hedges on the corner of our house. There is a switch on the back of the solar panel that lets you select 6 hr or 10 hr length of time. I set ours on 6 hrs for maximum light output. I'm no tree hugger, but it's nice to use solar energy when you can. I did notice on a cloudy day that the lights came on at dusk, but they turned off after a couple of hours. We do have sprinklers and haven't had a problem with the lights getting wet. Give one a try!

We were told that solar lights couldn't put out enough light to be used as spotlights for trees.
They are a MUCH more economical option for spotlights though, so we decided to at least try the strongest solar spotlight that we could get at Home Depot.
IT WORKS GREAT!!
This is almost TOO bright! But we love that there are two power levels, so we can use a few less lumens and get light longer!

I bought this solar light to illuminate our property sign. The location is tough because it rarely gets decent direct sunlight except in the morning, and mid afternoon. My suggestion is be honest about where you locate this light, if the sun shines on it most of the day, it'll work perfectly for you. In our case we get about 4 hours out of the light, just because it never gets truly fully charged.
The brightness of the light is as good as it gets, will easily illuminate a 20 foot wall from 15 foot away. This is why I wanted this particular light. I've not given up, because I think I might be able to maximize our sunlight during the day... Either way, if you don't have a way to get power to the light, this solar light will do the trick.

I have placed it in front of my shed front door and it illuminates the shed all night. I use it to discourage any intruders. It provides Light over a large area over my 10x16 shed.

I was skeptical that this light would work. My neighbors have LED lights that just glow and don't emit much light, but I thought I'd give this one a try.
I installed the light under a tree in a place that gets morning sun and is mostly shady the rest of the day. The first night I forgot to check it to see if it was working. I got up at 5am the next morning and it was still on and very bright. I remembered to check it the next night and it was almost as bright as my electrical spots. Really.
I love that it is so portable. You can just pick it up and move it anywhere. Also, the solar panel has it's own post and can be moved away from where the light is installed if you need to optimize the sun exposure to the panel. Don't need to purchase an expensive timer and install the electrical wire. Don't need an outdoor electrical outlet to plug it into. How great is that?
I read the review where the rating was "1". Perhaps the buyer didn't realize that on the back side of the solar panel there is AN OFF SWITCH, that also has 2 time adjustments options of 6 or 10 hours. SO REMEMBER TO TURN ON THE SOLAR PANEL!
I've only had it a few days, so only time will tell how durable it is to weather. I noticed that the top of the light filled with water after my sprinklers ran, so I tilted it down a little until the water ran out.
