Installed myself, replacing existing fan. Hamoton Bay does not make matching down rod for this item. Had to buy competitors product. Not impressed with either side of fan blade. Looks and felt cheap, had to stain one side to cover nicks before installation. It is quiet and did not require the enclosed balance kit. Good looking fan in our bedroom, needs a little more QC from the manufacturer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JoeEee Finally, a breeze in the room where we spend the most time.
The breeze from a ceiling fan makes all the difference on a warm day, and in southern California we experience a few 85-degree-plus days every month.
With this 52" fan in our kitchen/family room, comfort is a gentle tug away. The fan produces no sound of its own, nor is there any telltale vibration or buzz when you hold the chain, so you really have to count the number of pulls to be certain it's on the speed you want or switched off. On high, the breeze is strong if a bit choppy while medium speed delivers a more stable airflow.
While I couldn't totally eliminate a slight wobble at high speed, the balancing kit brought the wobble down to an acceptable quarter-inch, just noticeable if you're staring at the fan. Medium and low speed produce no wobble.
Despite the lamp bowl's beige tint, the light it casts is pleasing, even with the three included 14-watt twisty CFL bulbs.
My handyman brother-in-law and his stepson said the installation was easier than most ceiling fans they had put up, even with some of the challenging wiring in our walls.
The styling is best admired from a distance, as close inspection betrays the nature of the plastic parts, but then, what ISN'T made of plastic these days? Overall, it's a welcome addition and another step toward transforming our house into La Casa de Las Brisas.
