I called one store and they said they do not assemble. I called a larger city location and they said they would assemble for free, but that it might take a week or two after they received it in the store.

Check the Use and Care Guide for a PDF of the Assembly Guide. Basically everything is separate and needs to be assembled. Plan 6 hours for assembly, and it may only take you 4.

Nothing is assembled. You will need to put the chairs and table together. I did read one review where the person had the table shipped to their local store and the store assembled and delivered but not sure if all stores will do that. I assume there would be a cost involved.

I noticed the 7 piece set has motion chairs. These seem to be the same chairs with the 9 piece set but the description does not specify.

Answer:
The chairs are quite comfortable for relaxing/lounging. They rock gently (which concerned me, because the rocking is due to two pieces of metal flexing, not a hinged mechanism. However, trying to sit up to eat food at the table is quite uncomfortable - unless you like a good ab workout!

Yes, the chairs have a slight rocking motion to them. They are very comfortable, not too much of a rock where you feel like you're going to fall over.

The chairs are most definitely NOT stackable, and they only partially fit under the table due to the table brace.

They are not stackable. There are cushions that you can buy separately, but they come with the lumbar pillows. The chairs 'rock' a little and are very comfortable without cushions.

No the chairs are not stack-able.
You can use any standard chair cushion that is seat dimensions: 20 in. D x 21 in. W x 4 in. thick, Back dimensions: 24 in. D x 21 in. W x 4 in. thick. The seats are real conformable without any seat cushion.

I tried stack a chair on top of another and was unsuccessful. I doubt if the set was designed to do so. Not sure if cushions are made for this set, but you won't need cushions , the sitting experience is comfortable.

Do the feet of the chairs and the table have protective pads? Plastic or metal? I'm concerned about them damaging the patio (wood or composite).

Cut a slit in a tennis ball and place it over the protective pads/bottom portion of chair leg. The above mentioned should protect wood or composition decking.

They are not removable (unless you break them off), so putting a rubber protector on the bottom won't work either. I'm returning my set due to extensive damage upon delivery, but the few chairs I was able to put together have already made a couple of minor scratches in the decking just from gently sliding without anybody sitting in them. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great patio set What a great, beautiful patio set. We are getting so many compliments on the look and quality of the set. My husband put it all together. He's very handy and mostly used his own tools. It did take 5-6 hours to put 8 chairs and the table together. A second person was needed at times to make the assembly easier. We waited for the set to go on sale so the value was excellent. Everything arrived in good condition. My only complaint was that it was delivered 1 week early without any notification. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Patio Set My wife and I bought this set two weeks ago while it was on sale. We slowly put it together over the entire wknd, but it can easily be done in a day. The pictures online make it look great, but after putting it together and seeing it in person it has far surpassed our expectations. The table top is made of 4 big sturdy ceramic tiles that should be easy to keep clean. The pillows and wicker are extremely beautiful. The chairs are only held together by 4 bolts under the seat which worried me at first. Once we sat in the chairs our worries went out the door. Overall, we are super happy with the purchase and would highly recommend this dining set. One thing - use a socket wrench to put it together, the set comes with little wrenches, but using those will only slow you down. I've included a photo below of the finished product. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Assemble, High Quality Product This set was delivery quickly, the delivery person brought it right into the garage and inspected all four packages. All pieces were received in excellent condition, I was nervous about the tiles as I read others were delivered broken. Assembly was simple, just follow the directions. All the pieces were clearly marked, I would recommend using a wrench instead of the small one given just to make it easier. We had two people assembling the chairs, one did the bottom frame and the other securing the top. Took the two of us to assemble the table together. Probably took at total of 6 hours for full assembly. It is very sturdy and high quality set, the chairs come with lumbar pillows and have a rocking motion which was a bonus! We are enjoying this set!! June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It IS big, but love it! Read most reviews and all seem favorable, which is our opinion as well. Assembly did take a while and we did not experience any unfortunate delays with damaged pieces (a few frames had a bend, but husband was able to straighten out). Love the set, purchased the Bistro Set and Side Table as well. Main issue is finding a cover for the SET (can find cover for the table) as one review mentioned, the chairs do not push all the way under the table due to the design of the table's legs. If anyone finds an EXTRA LARGE scenario, please include...we may end up making our own cover w/tarp or large plastic sheeting. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great table for large families/groups We really wanted a large square table to fit at least 8, so we bought this table online. We have been very happy so far, as we've had a couple of big parties and 10-12 people have sat very comfortably around this table. it's BIG! The price was reasonable compared to other tables of this size and quality. The chairs are super comfortable and the table looks nice. My only caution is this set is difficult to put together. It came unassembled and my husband, who is very handy, hard a tough time. He had to buy a new tool and it took him a few hours. Now that it's put together, however, we love the table and the effort was worth it. July 14, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Arrived damaged This product is an excellent value, and I'd definitely give it a resounding approval if the table frame hadn't arrived damaged. The outside was dented, so we couldn't insert the ceramic tabletop sections. Waiting for the replacement with crossed fingers. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great table This table is huge and the chairs rock. So comfortable August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good deal if discounted I bought this on sale for 800.00 I wish I had bought two, as it was a good deal at that price. The chairs and table are quality. August 16, 2016
