Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality, work well, look good I replaced some plastic lights with these and am quite please with them. They look good, have true glass panels and nice looking metal so the quality is much better and the cost was about the same as the plastic ones. I also like the unusual spreading star light beam they give off at night. I also bought some small fencing from Home Depot and put those up next to the lights. Keeps our dogs from bumping them. I am quite pleased. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent solar lights I bought a "six-pack" of these solar lights for about $20. Installation took about 5 minutes - open package, lift top off each, pull out the paper tab that keeps the solar batteries from discharging, screw cap back on, and then pull stake from bottom, flip over and reinsert. The textured glass creates a nice starburst pattern of light on my walkway (which I can't show because the photo wasn't taken at night). March 12, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Appearance but Short of Emitting Light Living out in the country I needed lighting for my walkway. I bought two sets (12 total). They all worked out of the box. They were supposed to be 2X brighter than a standard solar light. They are brighter than the two previous sets I had bought, but it might be due to a reflective part at the bottom of the lens. The main drawback is that they only emit light for about 5 hours, even when it has been sunning all day. The lens' are thicker than the standard light and they are relatively well made for the price. The nickel finished gives the lamp a clean look. Would only recommend if you need lighting for a short time each night. January 6, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by They conk out too fast! These lights are beautiful but that's where the good comments stop. I had some solar lights made by Westinghouse in my yard for 2 years which finally pooped out. Those lights cost only $1.50 each. I saw these at Home Depot and bought a set which I liked and figured the light strength would get stronger as the sunshine got stronger. I bought 2 more sets. They look nice sitting in the planter but they stay lit for MAYBE a couple of hours and then poof, they're out. There has to be some way to rectify the problem but I can't seem to find contact info for Hampton Bay. Would I buy them again ... probably not. January 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These are the best lights that I've ever had! My wife and I bought a set three years ago and we have had to only change the batteries in them twice. The ground stakes finally had to be replaced on four of them this year which after writing to customer service, they gave me a part number and told me that my store had them in stock! The reason why I bought the set this time was because when I went online, I saw that they were on sale, so I grabbed a set just for back up. This set gives off a very nice light pattern on the ground which my wife likes very much. I like the fact that they stand up to the winters here in Saint Louis. Home Depot sells a smaller version of these lights, I haven't tried them, too much plastic for my liking, I'll stick with what works for me! December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy with product. Bought 2 years ago and still working. I bought these lights over 2 years ago and all but one is still working and it did not work because it got kicked around. I would purchase these again. There is one minor design flaw. Once you stick them in the ground you cannot get them out without the black pointer staying in the ground. I just stuck them back into the ground without the pointer and made a wooden splint to hold them upright. The instructions tell you how you can fix them when the light burns out. October 13, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Has nice design The fair ranking is because the sensor board is shot after 2-3 months. I've already had to replace 7 of these lights because the sensor went out. I tried the store batteries as well as Eveready Rechargeable Batteries to rule out the light malfunctioning, all with the same result. The design of the light is good but the durability isn't so i have kept my receipt and will keep returning the defective lights for new ones. June 21, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Major Fail They make a really pretty pattern on the ground when lit but they don't hold a charge well at all. Left them out in full sun for days, moved them to the walkway where we needed a little light at night and they only stayed lite for a few hours. Left near the walkway and they don't light up at all at night. We're going to have to find some other lights to put in that area. These were a waste of money. October 10, 2012
