Customer Questions & Answers

I just bought this product and I see mixed online review on the paint peeling off the outside

Has this issue been resolved and how does it effect the integrity of the product, is there is recall or warranty for this product?
Asked by: Soldierdoc
I don't think the outside finish lasted more than a couple fires for me, then it just turns to rust.

Can this item be bought on HomeDepot.com and shipped to my home? I'm only seeing pick up in store options.

Asked by: BBNC
Yes. Looks like it's available now for either shipping or pick up.

How much does this weight? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Asked by: BonnieClyde
It's quite light weight. I'm a 70 year old female and lifted it quite easily. The box is bulky when you buy it but the fire pit itself is very light and easy to move from place to place.

can it be used on a composite deck

with out floor protection
Asked by: joepop
We have ours on a concrete patio. I would not suggest using it on a wooden surface due to the heat that radiates from the bottom of the pit. Perhaps if you place four 12X12 decorative blocks under it, it could be used on a deck but I would still keep an eye on it. It would depend on the size of fire you have. Never leave a fire burning without someone to care for it.

We even kept it in the garage for the winters. After the first rain, the surface started rusting. Last week we used it, and not only a hole developed from rust, but the whole bottom collapsed while we had the fire going. Cheap metal and I don't even think it's treated. I would recommend a different one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fire pit for the money For those giving this pit a bad review, what do you expect for this price range? I bought mine 2 years ago and it sat out during the last Northeast Ohio winter. Was it in perfect condition when spring arrived? Well, not it wasn't. Did I expect it to be for $80, No I didn't. Still, it was definitely functional in year 2 and I can probably get another year out of it if I want. It may not look perfect, but it is still structurally sound. I'll then likely buy this same product because for $70 - $90 it's a great deal! Bottom line, if you want a pit that will last for 10+ years, expect to spends hundreds of dollars more than this pit sells for. This is, at most, a 2-3 year fire pit, especially if you leave it out during hard winters. As long as you're okay with that based on the VERY reasonable price, you'll be happy with this pit.

As soon as I pulled the fire pit out of the box I noticed that 2 of the little pegs that hold the lid up were already broken off. The legs are uneven so it wobbles back and forth a bit as well. The lid was dented in several places as well.

Looks nice, but doesn't work that well, and it only lasted about a year and a half. I had drill many holes in the bottom and sides to get enough air flow to keep the fire going. I would not buy this again.

I have not yet had the opportunity to use this product, therefore I am unable to rate at this time. Although the product is poorly built. The top does not fit securily on base. In other words lopsided.

The raised ridges on the bottom allow for good airflow to the fire. The mesh cover contains embers and is easy to remove safely with the included poker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too heavy duty Not bad for the price. Though the log grate immediately bent and sagged after the first moderate use with relatively small pieces of wood.
