Hi Patty. Unfortunately I too was looking for the amber lights but I've learned they are difficult to find. These lights are the white lights but NOT the BRIGHT typical LED lights. :)

Answer:
The LED light is white but the plastic globe that goes around the fixture gives it a warm glow on the sides and a little brighter white light directly under the fixture where the light shines down.

I would say these lights are more on the bright side, but due to the frosted shade, it provides a much more subdued light.....

They are definitely not bright white. I would say that the color of the led lights is more amber...can't really tell you what the bulb is...but they do give off a nice glow...that is NOT bright white!! :)

Yes, but very light-weight and bend easily. If putting into hard ground use something to make a hole first and then tap-in plastic pointed base and then insert pole/shepards hook.

I'd move lamps around to make sure they get max sunlight before jumping to repace batteries.
If they still do not work try wiggling the battery or bulb and let it charge a full day.
Rechargeable batteries are expensive but some dollar stores carry them

Reviere Rustic Bronze Outdoor Solar LED Light (6-Pack) is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worthless, but close to it As others noted, these last a day or two before they're dead. This is because they charge and discharge a standard AA battery. The battery really isn't designed for that sort of thing, so even replacing the battery isn't a long-term solution. Just generally a stupid design. The light is an eerie cold white that doesn't really match the aesthetic design of the lantern, but that's the least of your worries. Unless you're putting them in *very* bright daylight to charge and you're willing to chew through batteries and cope with mysterious failures, these aren't worth it. You'd save money by buying a good hard-wired set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Performance I purchased a 6-pack of these in-store, approximately 2 years ago, without doing any research. Out of the box, one of them did not work at all. Of those that did work, 2 would not hold a charge more than an hour or two. So, half of the box worked great. Unfortunately, performance in those 3 units deteriorated significantly within a few weeks, then performing no better than the other 2. There is an improvement in the 3 semi-working lights if I swap out the batteries (yes, solar powered lights are quite battery hungry), but the same performance decline always occurs within a few weeks. I have experimented with different battery types, and at different times of year, but neither variable seems to be involved at all in determining unit operating performance. Summary, these were a terrible purchase, and have likely eliminated any chance of a future solar light purchases.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed with quality and appearance Assembly was easy but the first thing I noticed was that they didn't look like the picture. I was looking for lanterns with a golden lense but the lense and light projected is pure white. I also noticed the construction is very cheap plastic and within the first month every one of the batteries had to be replaced because they would no longer accept a charge (Chinese). Since battery replacement, they work fine. After I figure out how to change the lense color, I will be happy with the laterns.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great when working properly I had purchased 12 (2 boxes) to have them hang off the posts of my fence. I was only able to get 6 of them up and running has the top screws where missing.. no biggie, well while waiting for the top screws which required 2 calls, now two lights do not work, regardless of resetting the battery. now i have to call them back again... They are really nice, but the quality, not so much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would no recommend to anyone I have had this product for 3 weeks. 3 of the 6 lights I must go out and turn upside down before the light comes on and the other lights do not come on until it is completely dark. Although the lights are in direct sun each day, they do not stay on more than 4 hours and are off well before dawn. I should not need to replace the batteries, but I think I may have to well before the suggested year. I will not buy this brand again. My $1 Walmart solar lights are still going after 3 years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These Last A Long Time I purchased two sets 5 years ago...they stay outside year round...I have never replaced batteries...and they are still working! They give off a nice glow and I like that you can use them hanging OR sitting on a flat surface. Purchasing replacements this summer as they are beginning to look quite faded from the sun. For me, they have been a great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rustic Bronze Color & Design Fits With Garden Décor Used hook at top to attach chain then slipped over hanging plant hook, then used shepherd hook in large potted plants. Under the housing its open so light forms a large circle reflecting down on potted plants giving a nice effect. Purchased two sets, 3 of the lights solar panels did not work right. Called Home Depot Customer Service explained the problem within a week received the replacement top covers. Two of the lights come on later then the rest.
