Answer:
It is very dark brown almost appearing to be black but has some specks of gold in it which makes it look very nice.

Rock Creek 5-Light Iron Oxide Downlight Chandelier is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great This light looks great above my dining room table. The softness of the lighting is nice as I don't like "too bright" of lighting at the table! This went up quickly with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and easy install Excellent quality and matches the decor of our house. Instructions are easy to read and installation is a breeze. Would recommend this product definately. A little spendy, but for the price of lights a good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely light fixture The light is better looking up close than the picture conveys. I downgraded the ease of installation only because I am terrible at anything like this. Nothing was broken, shipping was very fast, and the directions are excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice down-facing chandelier I needed to replace a tacky, 30-year-old chandelier above our formal dining table, and specifically looked for a down-facing light. I'm so happy with this one! We already had a dimmer switch, which anyone might want with this light. I hired someone to install it; ceiling is 16' and I don't do light installation anyway. He removed the old and put this one up very quickly. We used the full length of the chain and thankfully it's long enough. Now this room has many more functions: crafts, games, homework - all of which I think we avoided because the old light was so dim, especially right under it. As a bonus, I discovered during installation that it comes with 5 100 watt bulbs which look great (barely noticable). I should note that the globes are tan, not pink at all. Another foot of chain might be desirable for some people - be sure to measure accurately if you have concerns. Overall: the price/performance on this light is just excellent, and I think it looks beautiful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This light fixture is a perfect addition to our dining area. We needed a fixture that had the lights pointing down to give enough light with an iron look finish to match the other fixture in the adjoining kitchen. This was not an easy item to find. Imagine my surprise when I saw the exact product we had been searching for come up as one of the days special items and at a fantastic value. It has five lights and now we can actually see what we are eating! It is stylish and has already been noticed by visitors. We are very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasteful & Practical Downlight chandelier Did a lot of shopping to find this... Looking for a DOWN-light dining room chandelier but hard to find as the current fad is UP-light chandeliers... What a waist to spend money to shine all that light at the ceiling! People don't live, eat, read and do home work on the ceiling! Shine the light DOWN to where people can get the best use light that you are paying for. (Also, with the shades pointing down they're not giant dust-catching funnels). This light can use real, full sized light bulbs with the regular Edison screw-base. I loaded mine with 5 ea 13W (60W equivalent) 3400K compact florescent light (CFL) bulbs for dining... in fact, they are the new low-profile CFL bulbs and they tuck up inside the glass shades just right so as not to cause glare sideways from protruding bulbs. Another good choice would be 5 ea 18W (75W equivalent) 5000K Daylight bulbs for homework on the dining table. The lamp seemed "big" (too big?) first coming out of the box... but after getting it hung up, it is now "just right". and fits in perfectly in our oak-based dining room. Oh, and yes, the on-line transaction went smoothly and lamp arrived from across the US undamaged.
