Answer:
Most fans will have about 60 in of wire. You may always have your electrician add additional wire if needed.

Answer:
George, there are two down rods included a 4" and a 6". We used the 6 in. The 4 in will give you very little room to maneuver as you are installing the fan and packing the wires.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult Assembly Difficult assembly but great function. Also great looking profile. Downside globe very fragile and center support rod was too short one of three units purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't move much air I have two of these. I love to look at them. Sitting under them? Not so much. I think banana-leaf shaped blades don't move much air.

The fan is beautiful - the blades are not as brightly colored as they are in this picture, the color is much more subtle. Also, note it does not have chains and only operates with the remote (and they don't include the battery).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking outdoor fan. Installed fan in Florida screened sunroom. Plastic blades are a plus-no worries about sag or warping. Motor is quiedt and fan is wobble free. Installation is typical ceiling fan, easy and straight foward. Will take the average homeowner about 3 hours. Included hardware will work just fine with any ceiling fan box capable of holding 35 lbs or more. Ceiling fan does not include two screws that are used to attach mounting bracket to fan box. these are normally included with the fan box usually holding on the cover plate. If installing your own fan box, you may need to remember to pick up these screws at the same time. Lighting is slightly on the dim side due to low wattage included candelabra bulbs (x3 included). Instructions recommend that you do not install CFL's due to the dimming feature, however, new CFL's that are dimmable should work fine. Installed in 12' ceiling with 24" downrod. Downrod included in kit is only 6" and will work only for 8-9' ceilings.
