how much weight will it sustain; clothing weight.

60 lbs of clothing of more or 150 lbs of clothing?
Asked by: calley
I wouldn't use these as props in model homes, the units themselves are extremely lightweight flakeboard. Hinges like to bend and rip out.

Customer Reviews

Select 65 in. Wardrobe Cabinet in Espresso is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional, and from a distance good looking It's hard to be too critical because of the immediate functionality this wardrobe brings, this freed up a lot of room in my closet and keeps my clothes from getting jammed together. There are blemishes throughout the exterior, a few look like shipping bumps, and some scratches. The wardrobe still looks nice if you're not inspecting it, the dark color hides the blemishes well, and you could likely touch them up if you cared. One of the hinges came bent, but was able to be hammered back into place, these hinges are very high quality, which caught me off guard considering the MDF construction, they ensure you can adjust the doors so their is no gap. At first I was disappointed with the hanging rod, not being round, but I've grown to appreciate it more than a round dowel, hung clothing slides smoother. The shelf on the top is spaced perfectly, keeping additional folded clothes up top and allowing me to keep shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe, as most shirts will leave just shy of a foot from the ground.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Misleading Image The product is good quality but the image does not depict the cabinet accurately. There is only 1 shelf above the hanging rack. The other interior shelves are not present. Had I been aware of this I would not have ordered it. I will end up keeping it due to the hassle of a return. Overall not pleased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't think of one good thing to say significant vertical gaps on the doors are common to this wardrobe, the two door chest and the three door cabinet. These seemed to be off only by 1", but from experience putting the other two together I refused to fight with these doors against the stamped "metal" hinges, which are adjustable perhaps to millimeters before they blow apart. The doors are medium density and account for all package weight; the unit is styrofoam density flakeboard. Two different veneers; both will flake and smear off with literally zero effort, whatever the chemical, they don't want to bond to flakeboard. The handles look and feel nice. The stems are hollow and have nuts hammered into them. I might use them as baseball hat racks if the first one holds up as such.
