Answer:
Yes, two lights are in the "two-pack". Four post mounts are included; two at 5.5 x 5.5, and two at something smaller. I didn't use the smaller mounts so I can't say exactly their size, but I would guess they would fit a 3.5 x 3.5 inch post. I have since recycled the smaller mounts.

Answer:
No, but the actual measurements are 5.5 x 5.5. If you are using a so-called 6 x 6, it will actually measure 5.5 x 5.5. If yours are actually 5 x 5, use 1/4 inch thick strips cut to fit all around the post. Tack and glue the shims in place.

Answer:
I doubt any adapter exists. Make them by cutting a 1/4 inch thick piece of wood to fit. Tack and glue the wood to your post. You must apply the shims all around the post in order to achieve symmetry.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We reached out to the MFG for more information and find their response below.
"We do not have any adapters for the gap from the 6x6 plate. You may be able to check with a local hardware store to see if they have anything available to secure the gap. There are also updated plates that screw up from the top."

Answer:
Have the batteries charged sufficiently in full, direct sunlight? Batteries will only charge on bright, sunny days. Or you might charge them in a rechargeable battery device at home.

Answer:
Assuming the 2 batteries are mounted in the device correctly and the batteries are fully charged you may have a defective mechanism. Also, ensure the solar panel is kept clean.

Solar Copper Outdoor LED Post Light (2-Pack) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive and Fairly priced These replaced solar lights. I was really frustrated with. Hope these will outperform those. Installation was easy. The weak point are the base lips where top attaches. The plastic is super easy to break, which the first one did on me, so I cut the 6x6 one to fir my 4x4 post. Price beat what we paid for the old ones. Jury is still out on solar gadgets like these in my book. Lol I

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I bought two 2-packs. It took a total of about 20 minutes to assemble and install all four lights. The option to use the 4x4 or 6x6 is a bonus not usually offered. I like the soft white light it gives off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase Easy to install and looks great, However if you are installing on new Cedar 4 x 4 Post the post are now 3 1/2" so there is a little space on all sides. But I love them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The item being reviewed has only been in use for about 1 month. Too early to tell for reliability... The item being reviewed has only been in use for about 1 month. Too early to tell for reliability or solar charging problems; rating will change based on how well they last during winter. Reasonably priced. Comes with common WOOD post sized bases for 6x6 & 4x4 posts. Made for a very attractive look: an intermediate deck stair landing with 6 x 6 posts, and 4x4 newel posts at the base of the stairs. The light is about the same as you get from any of the little solar walk way lamps. Enough light, but just enough. Unlike the path way lamps, these will be in your line of sight, so keep that in mind if that is a concern. They are NOT downward facing shielded lights (I know, pretty obvious, just stating it). I have a mild concern as winter digs in that one lamp will not get enough light during the day due to its location (upper stair hides the morning sun, south facing landing hides the midday & most of the afternoon sun). Time will tell. I had a couple of the battery doors not latch completely, and had to remove the lights and reseat the battery and door. No big deal, just what happened.
