Just love this lantern solar light. Lots of light for a solar light. Bought it about three years ago, and it is still working even after rough Idaho winters.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JD Great looking, Good brightness
I have them posted in an area surrounded by trees so they only get direct sunlight for a small portion of the day, however they are still really bright for a few hours after dark. Around 11 or Midnight the brightness fades but I believe it is because they aren't getting a whole day's worth of sunlight. I'm sure if they got direct sunlight all day they would last much longer. If you're planning on mounting atop a wooden fence post you will have to get creative in mounting it. I shaved down a 4x4 wood post into a 3 inch diameter by 2 inch tall circular piece of wood to drill into the fence post to then mount the light atop that and it worked perfectly. If posting it on an actual light post install will be a breeze. I'm very happy with the product so far.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SolarGuy The design is nice but????
I purchased this last year and just got around to installing it.. I should have read the box. Its only 100 lumens. If you like the old fashion yellow light, this light might be a product for you. I prefer daylight lighting. I would compare it to a 10 watt bulb. I will probably give this light to my mother in law. This has a nice old fashion lantern look, which I have not been able to find on other solar pole lights. I still think the price point should be around $70. I can purchase a 150 lumen for about the same price, that gives off white light. My advice if you like power is spend the extra $10 to $20 and get a brighter light that's 150 lumens.

A post electric light at the foot of my driveway went out. An electrician told me I might need to dig up a stone walkway and yard to lay a new line. Not happening! Read the reviews and purchased this light. it does the job and I am very pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jenn Beautiful and bright lamp
My old wire post lamp socket was damaged, I decided to buy a solar powered lamp; the 1st one I bought was not bright enough and lasted only couple hours, I returned that; this is the 2nd lamp I tried (different brand from the 1st one) and I am so happy with this one, it is bright enough to compete my previous wired lamp, the light is very soft and will not dazzle your eyes like my old wired lamp did; it is also beautiful, modem yet with classical details.
There is almost zero installation, just fit right into the post top and tight the screws on the side, took me less than 5 minutes. The lamp feels heavy duty and not by cheap plastic.
It is a little more expensive than the one I bought before but it is worth the money. I love this lamp and would recommend to everybody who is looking for a solar powered post lamp.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by drshelton LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!
I had spent numerous hours searching the planet for a solar post light that would not only be the style I wanted but also actually emit enough light. I finally made my decision on this one and ran to Home Depot before I changed my mind again. I am just ecstatic with the results and my decision. Mounting on my existing post was super easy and done in a matter of minutes. The amount of light is beyond my expectations and the duration is superb! I just couldn't help myself, for the first week I got up at 4am just to see if it was still on. Surprisingly not only was it still on but it was as bright as it was at 9pm. This thrilled me. I have now had it about 2 months and love it as much as the first day. I still find myself leaving the front window coverings slightly open at night just so I can see it when I pass by. Couldn't be more pleased. I live in an area where we experience daily monsoon thunderstorms which can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours (sometimes more) at the peak of the day and the daily clouds have not affected this lantern at all. I highly recommend.
