Very nice looking light at a reasonable price. Installation was much easier than expected. Very happy with the purchase.

The light is very pretty in our hallway. Installing it was tricky -- the frame is difficult to secure and it takes compact bulbs, not your normal ones.

The globe on this is right up against 60w incandescant bulbs, and I would only use CFLs in a 9w or 40w equivalent. The directions say 60w incandescant will fit or the equivalent in CFLs but I don't want to risk breaking one in my face. If you need to change a bulb you will need to take the globe down or loose, because they are that tight. The pan behind the glass globe just sits on top of it.

The fixture looks nice, but the design and function is terrible. Whoever designed the shade obviously did not try to install it with bulbs (incandescent or CFL bulbs as indicated in the directions) because the bulbs sit horizontal and contact the side of the glass shade, so you cannot tighten the shade. I do not recommend this fixture.

Had it installed by builder's electrician. Glad I was able to watch so now I can replace light bulbs when needed.

Nice fixture but mfg. instructions should say" will not accomadate standard A-19 60 watt bulbs". Can not install the glass with A-19 standard 60 watt bulbs installed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sigma28 A good light, overall
My husband and I bought and installed this light today in our kitchen area. It was not difficult to wire it up, and the illustrations in the included booklet describe all you need to know. We found that CFL bulbs will indeed fit, IF you adjust the first threaded area up (above the bulb sockets at the hex nut) and the lowest threaded area down, both as far as they'll go. This gives just enough space so that the bottom will screw on and secure the glass bowl. Annoying, yes, but less than 5 minutes of fiddling around and the issue was resolved. We also had an issue with the light not hanging level, but my husband adjusted it and we are very pleased with how it looks for the price. We will be buying another one for our den.

The product was easily assembled however the light bulb receptacles are positioned horizontally in opposing directions. When I attempted to mount the glass bowl, I found that the CFL bulbs were in contact with the sides of the glass bowl and that prevented the ornamental nut from screwing onto the mounting rod. I had to remove the CFL bulbs and replace them with 60W incandescent lamps and they also contacted the sides of the glass bowl. There was however, enough thread showing on the mounting rod to start the ornamental nut onto the threads.
Perhaps the designers thought that the shape of the glass bowl was pretty but it sure isn't functional. This is a poorly designed product that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
