Pendant lights aren't the easiest to put in. Generally speaking, they are simple in nature, but awkward in practice. I recommend you have a helping hand available when you go to hang this lamp.
This took me about an hour to put in from when I started to take down the old lamp and put in the new one. The process is pretty straightforward, turn off power, remove old light, test fit new light, adjust chain and power cords, thread cord through chain, install. But you do kind of need about 4-5 hands to do this job.
The only real issue I ran into was the lamp wire wanting to twist as I screwed it into the mounting bracket.
The light output is outstanding and it totally changed the light profile of the breakfast room.

Took about 30 min from unpacking to full assembly. Directions stated to be careful unfolding the arms. No problem. Gives our dining room a fresh clean look. Glass shades are whiter than we thought.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jack Very satisfied with the quality of this light fixture
If there was anything I would change on this item is that it should come with LED lights (6-10watt) instead of incandescent (6-60watt). That's a big diff in energy needed to light this fixture. Otherwise it is beautiful and was easy to install. You do need two people, one to hold the fixture while the other person does the electrical part. I would highly recommend this chandelier to anyone looking for new lighting.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mortydog Larger than I thought!
This is a really nice chandelier; however, it's a tad too big for my dining room and looks rather bulky. With a larger room, it would be fine. It's well-made and very pretty. I had an electrician install, so I can't comment on how easy it was, but it didn't take him very long. Just wish I had measured better in the beginning. My bad. Still looks nice, though.

I love this Restoration style Chandelier! It looks great in my dining room and fits in beautifully with my transitional decor. This chandelier looks substantial, not flimsy or dainty and the light output is great! Very bright! A dimmer switch is almost a must.
The only thing is that you have to be careful when handling the lamp shades because they will show dirt/fingerprints easily. Any excessive rubbing while trying to clean dark smudges or scratches, will result in the finish being damaged.
Anyway, I still love the chandelier and I have the matching Pendant light in my foyer/entryway and the smaller 3 Light Chandelier hanging above my staircase. Everything looks beautiful and coordinated. I highly recommend the Hampton Bay Stanton Hills line!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kittygrey entryway light
We needed an entryway light that would put out more light than the one that was there. Many light fixtures require bulbs that produce very little light. This one could use both standard bulbs and the energy efficient ones while not reducing the amount of light

This was the second light I had ordered online. The first one came and the way it was packaged I moved the 6 arms of the light around to make the full circle and on of the arms broke off. I really like the sturdy look of the light so ordered another and then had a electrician unbox it and hang it for me. It looks great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FrankP This chandellier is light
This was pretty easy to install - for a chandellier. We installed it in a beam on a 12-foot ceiling, and because it was so light, it turned out to be pretty simple. Took us about 2 hours, including drilling a shallow hole in the beam for the pancake electrical box. Gives off great light - I'm installing a dimmer tonight (also from HD), so we'll see how that goes, too! I imagine it's pretty easy.
