Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Congear Clip pins can move causing a straining motor, and slow fan.
When I turned on the fan it made strained motor sound, and barely turned. My wife looked up the reviews on this site and saw the review from Gary Doug where he described the same symptoms and gave the solution! "I removed the light kit and found that"... ONE wire connector pin (a grey one) was backed out of its' clip. I pushed it back in and the fan immediately quieted down and started blowing the promised10000 cfm!
Some have asked "why not just return it instead of fixing it?" Because fixing it is much faster!
After fixing the grey wire, the fan was balanced, quiet, and the lights were bright.
FYI, I put on a 48" downrod from Lowes and the grounding screw on that downrod was #8-32, which was a smaller machine screw size than that on the downrod that came with the fan.
I'm sitting under the fan outside right now enjoying it.

I was looking for an outdoor fan for a new screened in porch. I wanted something that would be easy to change the bulbs - nearly impossible to find!! So, I took a chance on this and am very happy! It was worth the price. I did need to buy a down rod and a chain extension since the porch has a vaulted ceiling. In full disclosure, I did not install the fan - the electrician did it but said it was pretty easy and straightforward. I love the light it gives as well as how strong the fan is. We usually keep it on medium or low because high is a true windstorm.

This is a really nice looking fan with very clean lines and style. Attaching the blades couldn't be easier. In the paste, each blade had three screws to fasten. The new design has the same three screws, but they are already attached and there is a metal clip behind each. This makes mounting the blades extremely fast and easy. The mounting plate is okay, but could use improvement. While one side had double-thickness in the metal where the mounting screws pass, the other side only has double-thickness for half of the width of the slot. I could not find a way to use the side with double-thickness, so the the thinner side bent upward toward the junction box. I added a wide washer to spread the load and reduce the bending. I think washers should be included anyway, rather than rely on only the flange of the screw head against the slot in the mounting bracket. The hardest part of mounting any ceiling fan is connecting the wiring in such tightly confined space, then pushing rigid solid wire back into the junction box. The hole in the bracket had an raw metal edge that can strip off wire insulation, making the process even more difficult. I think a wiring harness connector should be developed for the source power lines so the fans lines can easily plug in. Aside from all this, the fan looks great and works very well. I ordered the balancing kit (free) to get a little wobble out of the unit while it runs.

Assembly was easy. The instructions were very clear and the fan has multiple mounting options. Once the fan was installed I turned it on. This fan moves alot of air on high setting. The lighting is great also. There is no motor noise. Very happy with our choice.

The Trentino II indoor/outdoor fan was an excellent choice for our dinning/family room. It looks great and really quiet. The 60 inch five blades move lots of air. Heavy duty and a lifetime warranty on motor.

We couldn't be happier with our new Hampton Bay Trentino II ceiling fan!
PROS of INSTALLATION: Because it was being installed on a very high ceiling, we had to also order a 36" extension downrod. Because of the height, we hired an electrician to install it. The day of installation two electricians showed up. We warned them that the ceiling fan might be very heavy, as that is what I had read in reviews, but they didn't seem to think the weight was an issue at all. They had a VERY tall ladder. The electrician on the floor handed the ceiling fan up to the electrician on the ladder and it was installed in record time. I rated the "Easy to Assemble" as a PRO because the electricians found it very easy to assemble and install.
PROS of USAGE: This fan REALLY circulates the air! When it is set to HIGH, the tablecloth on the small table in front of our window blows like crazy, and the drapes on the sliders to the right of the fan also billow with the breeze. It is VERY quiet compared to the 26-year old fan we replaced which was quite noisy from the very beginning. I love that the Hampton Bay has several speeds and I also love that the lights can be dimmed. Even with the fan being so high, the light bulbs were a breeze to screw into the three sockets. The old fan we replaced had a schoolhouse type globe that had to have screws removed in order to take it off and replace bulbs when they burned out. Tha's always a pain, and when you add in how high the light was, it was a very difficult job. This one is so much easier because there are no globes to remove.
CONS: The light bulbs that came with the fan are not dimmable, so we had to purchase three 60W dimmable bulbs ourselves, but that was a minor issue that was easily resolved.
Again, we are very pleased with the Hampton Bay Trentino II ceiling fan we purchased! It's very attractive, very quiet, and it really circulates the air!
