Will this fan work with LED Lightbulbs?

Will it work with a Philips New 60-Watt Equivalent A19 LED Light Bulb Soft White - 2700K - 4 Pack?
Asked by: sf
I use LED dimmable and they work fine. Soft White can work, but from my standpoint, I would recommend you compare to (A21) LED Daylight 5000k. The Trieste Fan has a frosted dome, and for me when combined with a LED Soft White, the light becomes dull and distorted, providing very poor light distribution even in a small room. I switched to LED Daylight 5000k which provided a brighter light distribution. Compare for your own preference or to get your desired lighting affect. BTW, I used Feit, but see no reason why Phillips would be any different.

We just moved to a different home and I bought 6 fans for the new house. They are all installed and everyone is not in balance and can't run them higher than the low speed without them shaking back and forth. . I will need balance kits and see if I can get this corrected. The 4 I previously bought for the old house never needed any balancing. I wonder if a different source was used to manufacture these fans. I installed the fans myself in both houses so it was not the installer. I love the look of the fans, but wish I didn't have a balance problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, easy install, not well balanced. I bought 3 of these. They look great and produce good airflow. Despite other install complaints that I read, I found them easy to assemble and install especially considering I had never assembled a fan before. They do tend to shake a little, the one in my bedroom makes a slight tick which will drive me insane if I don't fix it. I still recommend these fans though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the fan but the instructions and information are lacking. I have installed dozens of ceiling fans but this was the first with a remote. The instructions were extremely vague about the where and how to install the receiver. In the end I was unable to install the receiver until I removed the motor from the downshaft, allowing me to wedge it into the bracket above the downshaft. Still not sure if it is correct, but it works. The only other complaint would be the fact that my electrical outlet has separate wiring and switches for fan and light. No option to bypass remote and use my setup. If I had known that before purchasing I may have made a different decision. Good fan for someone with only 1 switch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look & price; not-so-great instructions This fan is a wonderful addition to our morning room/vaulted ceiling. Looks like we paid more than we did & works wonderfully. I am a very frugal shopper & usually have doubts purchasing larger items, as I did with this fan. Was relieved to be extremely happy with it. Also was doubting the fact that a 3-blade fan (instead of 4) would make a difference in the air circulation, but it did not. That puppy makes a room much cooler, quickly, even on low speed. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was for the awful instructions on the product, as we've encountered before with Hampton Bay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Insanely Quiet I don't know what other reviewers were having problems with as it took my husband and I 30 minutes to install this fan. I would recommend that Hampton Bay include the instructions for where the remote wiring goes inside the fan, though, it was easy enough for us to figure out. It goes between the black bracket and the base of the fan at the ceiling connection for anyone who will purchase this in the future. It was obvious it needed to go there as it was a perfect fit. The fan is insanely quiet, even on its highest setting. We didn't need to use balancers as it was perfect upon install. Purchase a 9volt battery for your remote and you're good to go! Though later on I believe we'll be purchasing a wall switch for it since the remote holster isn't the best and the remote itself is ugly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fan does not work on Hi setting This fan was the most difficult of the Hampton Bay fans that we purchased. It always seemed slower than the others, but thought nothing of it until recently when it became hotter. We usually kept it on the medium setting, but noticed when we tried the HI setting it was now slower than it has previously been. We called the manufacturer ( Home depot) and was initially met with a very rude customer service personnel who decided to blame us for not noticing or reporting the problem earlier. When she was questioned about her behavior, she hung up the phone. We called back and spoke to another person who recommended a product that controls the speed. We were charged for the part which did not work when we installed it and are not able to get a full refund even if we tried. So now we are stuck with a $150 fan that doesn't work properly. I believe that either the motor that is faulty or it's just not a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice fan! These fans are very nice and contemporary-looking. We bought 2 on sale for around $100 each. It was a great deal for the money. One fan didn't work after we installed it, so we had to return it to the Home Depot store and get a new one. As with all Hampton Bay fans, it is a BIT hard to install, because it is hard to squeeze the receiver into the space at the top of the fan assembly without pulling apart all the wiring connections you have just twisted together. But once you figure it out with one fan, the other fan installations go much quicker. Works great, looks great, is quiet, and we are happy with our purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fan EVER! I just bought a home - the ceiling fans were old and not very efficient. I first replaced my bedroom fan with this fan. It was so fantastic - I bought two others. The fan is quite - I love the remote and lack of chains hanging from the fan. It more than adequately cools the room at low or medium setting - I rarely need to use the high setting. Great price - love the three blade design! I would highly recommend this fan to everyone! You can't go wrong with this purchase!
