It was very difficult to get the pencil/pen into the hole on the spring. Once that was accomplished, it was fairly easy to install the springs.

We purchased these based on what we could see on the web. The items arrived fine, and we attempted to install them. We could not use the reflector cones because they are supposed to lock onto the housing, but they would come loose and fall down when we attempted to screw in the light bulb, so they are in the basement. Attaching the trim to the can lights is tricky, but found it could be done easily using a slightly longer phillips screwdriver in the loop on the spring and a flashlight to help spot the appropriate place in the can to hook the spring. (The instructions included tell you to use a pencil). You need a little room to operate, and a good sense of balance. Once you get the hang of it, they are not too bad to install. If there was a screw to lock the reflector cones in place, that would be helpful. You are supposed to remove the light socket from the bracket in the can, and then snap it into the reflector cone....Also, the fixtures state that you cannot use any bulbs larger than PAR30L 50 Watt / 65 watt max. We called Home Depot support about this because we are using LED bulbs (13Watt = 75 Watt light). These are fine according to their tech department.

Looked nice but a different trim was better with my decor.

This item was purchased to install in my newly renovated bedroom. Item is very nice and stylish. The mount is for Halogen fixture which was not what I had. I was able to drill two holes in the recessed frame to mount the trim ring. It looks very nice.
