I'm not much of a reviewer, but in this case I will.
I installed it in a room that gets hot Georgia sun all afternoon; it's working great (solar shades as well).
It looks good, it puts out great air, and (incredibly important to me) it is quiet.

This fan is attractive in any room in the house. It was purchased for the master bedroom but seemed a bit small for the size of the room. We had it installed in the office and it is a nice addition to the room. It is quiet and provides good airflow.

Great fan. I had the Minka Aire Acero fan in my previous home, and saw this on sale ($130) in Home Depot and jumped on it. I've had it for a few years now, very happy with purchase! It is identical to the much more expensive Acero. I love the fact that it has a cover for the light fixture, as I don't like overhead lighting. Another plus (that I didn't realize until after purchase) is the lack of strings. Rambunctious kids and house guests have made almost all of my other ceiling fans out of balance by yanking on he strings with too much force. Not possible here! And the highest setting keeps the air moving in my large living room.
As for ease of installation, no clue. My Husband had a hard time, but he refuses to read directions and feels his work isn't done unless there are numerous parts left in the box after installation. It must not have been too bad, because he got it done without calling in any backup (besides me).
Wish it would go on sale again! I would get one for every room.
I am happy to see they are still making this fan, because I thought from the price markdown that they were being discontinued, and I was nervous about my child losing the remote and not being able to replace. But so far, so good!

I bought 2 of these fans a couple years ago. I waited until they went on sale ($130 each) and I jumped on them. They are awesome, perfect for a bedroom. The lights arent super bright, but plenty bright for a bedroom. Its quiet, works well, and love the vintage modern look.

I'm very pleased with the look and quality of the fan. The installation was quite a challenge, but worth it once the fan was up. Looks exactly like one from restoration hardware for $200 less. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a really nice and classy looking ceiling fan. The light is really good as well. I was skeptical given the size of the bulb, but once installed I was very happy with the amount of light provided by the fan. The remote switch is great so you don't have to deal with fan chains.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JD82 Great looking fan and quiet operation.
I saw a similar fan at Restoration Hardware, this fan is half the price and looks just as nice. I was not thrilled with the fixed remote, but I found GE 12730 Z-Wave Fan Control was compatible and now I can control it with my Wink Home Automation System. The light bulb is a unusual bulb size but it is plenty bright. I wish it came with a dimmable LED bulb instead, the 100 watt bulb is a waste of energy and there is no readily available LED replacement due to the unusual bulb size.

LOVE IT! what else can I say... It is a very nice fan; great quality, completely silent and a very pleasant breeze. Gave my bedroom a facelift. Has a dimmer which is a plus for me. The medium speed is perfect! and has much power on high. This was definitely a great buy :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by desertgarden09 Retro-look, really moves the air! Great value for sale price.
I live in the desert southwest where any south-facing room gets blasted by the sun. I installed this fan after another Home Depot fan I had purchased, and it was pretty easy to install compared to this one.
This fan has a "remote" feature, which doesn't mean it has a remote control. It has a receiving unit that you place under the ceiling canopy so it receives the signals from the wall switch. Since I had a double-light wall switch, I had to buy a switch cover that accommodated the new switch. It wasn't too hard to find and not expensive, either. The nice thing about this is that there are no chains hanging from the fan unit - everything is controlled by the wall switch.
I like the look of the fan, almost feel like I'm in a 50's diner, and the light is actually pretty bright considering it's in a 10-foot ceiling. The fan blades are shaped in a scoop, so this baby can move some air!
It was a little more complicated to install, and it's always cumbersome to attach five fan blades to the motor with 3 tiny little screws per blade when you're up on a ladder. The electrical connections are all color-coded and that wasn't too difficult to figure out. Since I'm no electrician, I did make sure the electrical breaker was turned off, which was definitely necessary when installing the actual fan/light switch in the wall. That part was a little more complicated than the ceiling wiring of the fan unit.
All-in-all, I've gotten some great compliments from the look and functionality of the fan. Most important - it's done a great job of keeping that south-facing room much cooler in the summer! I've rarely needed to put it on high...
