An excellent choice for our Family Room with 18' ceiling height. The fan creates a big breeze with the 70" span. The reverse capability from the remote is a terrific feature that we really wanted and was only available in fans far more expensive. The motor assembly was surprisingly lightweight compared to the one we replaced. Very quiet motor, looks great in the room and the light is perfect. Would recommend this fan to anyone looking for an over-sized fan.
I hope the fan holds up over time as we keep the fan running 24/7/365

Great looking fan, easy to assemble and works like a champ. Put in different bulbs them what was included but that's with just about every fan. Ended up installing three of these. Highly recommend

This fan is beautiful and it does its job - it cools down the room and gives off a nice breeze. The light is decent, it lights up a good amount of area but its not extremely bright. I did read some of the reviews saying it only works off the remote and not by a switch - that is false. Ours can be turned on by the switch on the wall or the remote. We have had this fan for about a year now and had to replace the remote control batteries a few times and the light already. I didn't give it 5 stars because the light started acting a bit funny, it wouldn't work and we would have to tap the fan for the light to turn on - if I am paying more than $200+ for a fan, I don't expect to do that in order to get our light to work.

For the size and price, you can't go wrong with this fan choice. I had a hard time deciding after reading some of the bad reviews, but for the look and price, bought it anyway. We had it professionally installed because scaffolding was needed for the job. It's absolutely beautiful! We had no problems with installation or functionality of the fan and remote. It works very well cooling our family room and puts out a good amount of light too. The remote is a little touchy as to wear I point it, or maybe where I'm standing in the room, but overall seems to work fine. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This fan looks fine, but the quality is terrible. The fan says "wobble free", but I bet you can guess it wobbles a bunch, makes noise that is so distracting, there is no way you can have it on high. I would absolutely steer clear from this fan.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rachel Nice looking big fan with decent lighting
We've had this fan for about a month and been enjoying it. The other reviews had some install issues, but that was not the case for us. It installed easy and worked with no problems. It's very quiet and can really move some air!! Those long blades do the trick that's for sure! I am super picky about lighting and this fan was the best I could find. I don't like light fixtures where you can see the bulbs, but I also want plenty of light. Nearly all fans now are using candelabra bulbs which in my opinion, are just not bright enough but they are trying to "go green" and all that. I replaced the bulbs with some Bulbrite halogen bulbs I found on Amazon that have over 900 lumens and they are dimmable and that gave me nice bright lighting that is sorely missing in most fans. So with my little light bulb improvement, I'm really enjoying this fan. One thing I've never seen on any other fan is brakes! This one has them! When you switch from a high speed to a lower one, you can see the brakes slowing the fan down....pretty funny.

I spoke with the manufacturer in early 2013 when my fan was first being installed. The first thing they recommend is bypassing your wall on/off switch. As this fan works only via remote control, having it wired to a switch could confuse it.
My fan recently seemed to lose the connection with the remote control. The battery checked out okay. I figured there was a method to re-sync it so I called the manufacturer and got the instructions and it worked. In my case I turned off the breaker to cut power to the fan. 1. Cut power to the fan. Wait at least 20 seconds. Restore power to the fan. 2. Keep your eyes up on the fan, hold down the FAN OFF button on the remote, in a few seconds you'll see the fan light blink twice. 3. Release the FAN OFF button. 4. Your remote is now re-synced with the fan and all should be well. NOTE: Inside the battery compartment, that button inside is to reverse the direction of the fan, that's what that does.

Stopped working completely. Remote control sensor is shot. Not worth the trouble.
