The fans went up without an issue. We installed two of these in a room that has 20 foot ceilings. One remote will control both of them They move a lot of air . They are so affordable for the size. Also installed 48 down rods on each fan to help with air circulation. An amazing value!

I read the reviews for this fan after I purchased it and I was worried. However, after having it professionally installed with the matching 72" downrod, I can't say enough positive things about this fan. Initially, my husband was worried that it was too big for our great room but that is only because the original fan (installed by the builder) was entirely too small and too close to the cathedral ceiling. Within 5 minutes, he was smiling. This fan is perfect. It has 6 speeds and even on the lowest setting, you can feel the cool breeze. We adjusted our thermostat (huge savings) since it has been installed. So far, no issues with the fan, the light or the remote, which we love!!

I am pleased with the ceiling fan. It is beautiful and adds to the appearance of our living room. The remote and six speeds are great.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Romeo Good Looking; Poor Parts reliability
Thid id s great looking fan for the $.Lights went out after ~2 months of operation. Hampton Bay customer service great about my problem. Offered an instruction redo for the controller; when that did not work, the have agreed to send me a new motor and controller. After reading some of the other comments about light outages, sounds like a circuit design flaw or a bad part. Sure hope they fixed it. We liked the looks of the fan so much we bought another one. However, since this fan has soooo many parts to assemble and install, not doing it until this fan light problem is resolved. I am reserving my recommendation on this fan until I see how the new parts work out, By the way, it is going to be a pain in the butt to tear the fan apart and re-install the new motor.

The fan was very good looking and was fairly easy to install, however the fan makes an anoing and distracting clicking noise.

Installed this fan and a few days later, it doesn't work. The remote is the only way to control the fan, which is a bad design in the first place. 2 days later the remote will only turn on level 2 (there are 6 speeds), all other speeds don't work. And then while troubleshooting with the manufacturer on the phone, the an decided to stop working altogether. Shame because it's very pretty.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Piroco Elegant and efficient Ceilling Fan.
Installation was easy for me because I am a handy man, yet for a lay man it may not be that easy due to the multiple parts requred for installation. The fan is really elegant and it move a substantial amount of air even at a low setting (3 out of 6). The fan is pricy but in my case its well worth the cost.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by itsdarkhere Looks and works great.....Until it doesn't
I've had this fan for roughly a year and a half. Just this evening (6-2-2016) however the the lights stopped working. One minute they were on, the next they're non-functional. There exists no part to repair the control circuit, and I'm wondering how long I've got before I'm unable to control the fan speed.
When I bought it I had no idea that the remote was the only way to control the fan, but installed it anyway. It really is a great fan, slow quiet blades with a lot of airflow, but it's useless when the remote receiver dies and cannot be fixed.
