It was easy to assemble and exactly as described . It was all I expected and more. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and everything was marked to easily get the job done. It took less than an hour to assemble completely.

Absolutely beautiful design, and so easy to assemble. All tools you need come with the daybed, took about 20 minutes to assemble with 1 person. Need to use a couple of well placed 4x4 wood blocks to assist, but should be do-able for a single person to put together. The items are relatively lightweight, but very sturdy. The daybed looks gorgeous once all items are set up. Will be enjoying this all summer!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AussieLady CLASSY DESIGNER LOOK AND GREAT COMFORT!
Last year I bought several pieces of Hampton Bay patio furniture, and this daybed is the fourth patio item I've chosen from Hampton Bay, and it underlines, once again, the high quality of this manufacturer's products. I say this because every single piece fits together perfectly, it's easy to assemble, and did not have nearly as many parts as I imagined that it would, considering the size.
Be prepared when you take delivery of this patio daybed because the box is huge, and weighs 172 lbs. I had the carrier place it in my garage where I then unpacked it piece by piece. I would recommend you assemble the day bed at the location where you intend to use it ..... on the patio, beside the pool, or wherever, as it would be some effort to move it once it's all put together.
We experienced only one small issue during the assembly and that was where some of the "wicker" was wound around a part where it made it difficult to insert the bolt. It wasn't catastrophic, but we did have to work at the "wicker" a bit to push it out of the way so as to uncover the bolt hole. Photo is attached of what I'm trying to describe.
The assembly instructions are clear and concise, and we only struck one minor issue where we attached the firsttop cross support upside down. I've attached a photo showing how it should be bolted on. The cross support consists of two "bars" with a space between them (which is where the canopy threads through) and it's important that the smaller of the two "bars" is at the top.
The finished daybed looks fabulous on the patio and I know our friends are going to be most envious. I had imagined from looking at the online photo, that the daybed would also serve as a 3 person couch, but the daybed is very deep, and with only the 3 back cushions provided, a person would have to sit too far back to be comfortable. My solution to this -- so that I can use it as a 3 person couch as well as a daybed -- is that I'm just going to purchase some more back cushions from a local store, and that ought to give this piece of patio furniture dual purpose.
All in all, I would recommend this patio daybed highly. It isn't nearly as expensive as many, and the quality is very good. The cushions and bolsters, along with the canopy, give this daybed an element of classy sophistication, yet it's durable construction and weather-resistant fabrics ensure that it will look good for a long time to come. And typical of Hampton Bay's attention to detail, the seat cushion has "tailored" corners so that it fits the bed perfectly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ToolTimeTony Versatile Daybed offers large seating area and removal shades
Versatile Daybed that comes complete with a large seating area, three back pillows, two side pillows, and two fabric awning/shade covers. It’s fairly large when assembled, and can be used as a standalone piece of furniture or as part of a set. Beige cushions will blend with most other fabrics if use a mix and match approach. Sides and front have a dark brown wicker look/design, and the top covering supports are dark brown metal. Attractive unit overall. Assembly was fairly simple, entire unit took about 20 bolts. It is very comfortable for either a lying or reclined position. If using it as a seat, you need additional pillows or the use of side pillow in front of the rear pillows due to the depth of the seating surface. The top is covered by two removable awning type fabric panels that provide shade or privacy. The position of each panel can be adjusted as desired. You can remove one or both if looking for more sun. I am using my daybed to replace a hammock – and find it much more versatile in terms of overall use and the ability to alternate from a sun/shade perspective through the use of the awning covers. It does take up some room and has height – so that may limit where it fits or may visually impact your patio or other locations. Overall, a nice, and unique unit that adds to the outdoor living environment

I was very skeptical about this item. Just built my deck and needed a nice piece of furniture that would be nice to lay on and rest as well as looking good, creating shade and most importantly in my situation, block the neighbors view and sure enough this product does it all!!
its a very natural way to create privacy and it looks amazing.
Have nothing bad to say about it, the assembly was easy and I did it in an hour or so, it looks solid and expensive and I would buy it again!!

This is a quality piece of furniture...outside, next to my pool. Easy to put together (two people required) and quality structure. I had no issue with screw holes as noted in other reviews. We put it together in approx. 30 minutes. Super comfy...I added two additional pillows for a pop of color but the cushions included are comfy. The delivery is a BIG, HEAVY box...we had it unloaded in the driveway and carried piece by piece to where we wanted it. Great buy!!!

Perfect for our grand children's sleep over. It was a cinch to put together. 3 people, 2 to hold and one to assemble. We did have to bend some metal obstructing the screw holes but that was nothing... I did purchase extra pillows for the back as previous reviewers suggest... The only improvement would be a thicker or denser mattress/ cushion. Great buy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chance Great piece of furniture
When it finally made its way to my house assembly was fairly easy. Two people would make it easier but I did build it solo. We use the shade as a privacy fence on the side of our deck and it works out great. Couldn't have hoped for a better piece of furniture with a dual purpose. Will probably add some pillows.
