Answer:
Yes, you may need a longer down rod to maintain proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 18°. A slope kit will be needed if steeper angle.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just installed I just finished the install on this fan and must say it looks great, extremely quiet and fairly easy to install.(Installed by myself). The only two downsides are the light not being bright and get HOT and my ceiling has more than an 18 degree angle which made it a bit difficult to mount but I was able to "adjust" it to fit. I will find leds to replace the lights included. March 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cori3559 Fan is real nice, alittle odd looking but that is why I like it, its different. The air flow is great, strong, satisfied with it June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great This fan looks great in our family room. It moves air well, and does not wobble. We bought a remote kit to go with it, and haven't had any trouble. April 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TERRIBLE LIGHTING - Gorgeous Fan I always read reviews and didn't find as much on lighting about this product like I thought I would. Well here it is...for those of you wondering. The glass is a thick tan. If you are a person who really likes to have a bright room/a lot of light -this fan is NOT for you!!!! It is a stunning fan to look at. But once the glass goes on - the light output is absolutely horrible. My night stand lamp gives off more light than the fan light does all together. The also bulbs give off a lot of heat. I went to remove the glass and it was super hot! If you are looking to add décor and don't care about the light - it is absolutely beautiful! The colors, the lines - just all works well. It also circulates the air amazingly well. Be ready to be cold! Not sure if I got a dud also - but the motor is also making a scratching horrible noise. Two people are telling me (who work in construction) it has nothing to do with the balancing - it's in the motor. So after the electrician was out to install...I now have to have it removed and return. FUN! :( July 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Air Mover, Light on Light Basically we were seeking a nice transitional look in a ceiling fan that was quiet, but could move air in our large room. This definitely fit the bill! It pulls off the traditional styling in our older home and bridges with our more modern style. Glad to have the 3 speed setting- moves quite a bit of air so it's nice to drop it down a notch when you just want a gentle air flow. I will agree with other reviewers that there is not sufficient light output if this is the only source of light for a room. Fortunately we have other lighting so we weren't even looking for that when selecting the fixture. The light given off is soft and good infill when we need that extra boost to our regular lighting. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars all around! July 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worried ...... We've purchased three of these fans for annual Christmas to ourselves. We've been very happy with the product until recently when the first fan we purchased has a noticeable decrease in the speed when it's set on its highest speed. We're now worried that this may be a sign of things to come with the other two fans. I only recommended this product since the other two are functioning normally, if that changes, this review will be getting an update. July 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Shorted Our Living Room Breaker We purchased this ceiling fan for our living room in a brand new house. When out of the box we really liked it. Installation was a bit under-explained. Only with regards to if the consumer has a separate switch for light and fan. We figured it out after taking a few steps back, but it should have been in the instructions. We had the fan up for 2 weeks and randomly our living room electric went out, we flipped the breaker and all was well. Then a week after that, all electric in the living room went out. This time we flipped the breaker and nothing came back on. After having an electrician come out, and troubleshooting all the wiring in the whole room, sockets, lights, and even our new fan, they discovered that the fan itself had a short in the wiring which was causing our breaker to flip. So we had to uninstall the fan and take it back. October 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I loved the "look" of the fan...It is quite & moves the air very well. I was very excited about my purchase but when the fan was installed found out that the bulbs were shot. Tried to purchase more bulbs at Home Depot & found out they did not carry the size needed for the fan. I went to other lighting stores & they did not carry the size either. Called the customer service number & they are sending me some more bulbs. What a challenge just to have light.. No bulbs yet....I had to order the bulbs from the company that made the fan...ugh May 1, 2012
