Customer Questions & Answers

Can the entrance be put n the length side rather than the width?

The smaller sizes show the door being placed along the length side, however, in the 12x24 model the door is along the width side. Can I choose to have it put on a certain side?
Asked by: Customer
The door on the 12x24 Columbia can be relocated to either the gable or eve side of the building.

The picture shows windows, yet the specification say none.

Are the windows pictures printed on the outside of the shed? Could you put windows in?

Final answer is the shed kit was a good price and easier than starting from scratch. The process and delivery left something to be desired. Helpful hint: When ordering something on line that is over a $2500 amount make sure you check with your bank about transaction limits. I placed the order to find out that the bank had a $2500 limit on purchase amounts by debit or credit card for my protection. Second order somehow went thru then got canceled relating to original order. Home Depot representative told me I might want to go to a store to complete the transaction. I had a choice of Savannah or Brunswick Georgia both over 50 miles away from me. I chose Savannah and was helped by John the Assistant Manager. Still a bit confusing (and took right at an hour) but we got the thing ordered. He was great. I then got confused by an email that said my order had been canceled but we figured out that was the second order and not the third one. The shed was delivered by a trucking company (Estes) and the driver was on time and very courteous. The delivery was a mess. The pallets that contained the three kits (divided on two long pallets) were completely damaged underneath. The driver was not able to get his hand truck underneath the pallets to off load them from the truck. WE tried to skid them back and forth to the rear of the truck to get them off loaded. Also the items (when loading) also had significant damage to the wall panels and press board/roofing board) especially near the bands on the bundles. I finally had to go and get a backhoe to transfer the pallets from the truck to my trailer. The driver was very apologetic and sincere. Regardless I ended up having to work with some damaged material. For the reviewer that said she and her husband were able to complete the kit in one weekend, my hat is off to you. I have done a lot of construction projects and had two experienced helpers. It took a total of five days to complete the project. That being said, there is room for improvement with the instructions and the parts identification. A few of the parts were marked and that was helpful. Better diagrams and clearer instructions would be helpful. In the end the kit (except for damaged parts) went together perfectly and the shed looks great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the best Started off on the wrong foot with the delivery truck because I had to unload the shed by hand, piece by piece, even though the website guarantees curbside delivery. The shed went together ok but most of the boards are not cut evenly, ranging from 1/4 - 1/8" short to 1/4 - 1/8" long. The shed doesn't seem like a good value and customer service wasn't helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed! This shed goes up in no time. Every piece of wood in the kit is cut precisely, which saves time and makes the shed easy to construct. My husband and son put the whole thing up in one weekend, and it's an awesome little building.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product is time consuming to assemble, nice when done. This shed took a while to assemble, some warped boards, and some hard to identify pieces. It was nice to have everthing pre-cut.

This product is ok for beginners like myself. The instructions need to be improved and maybe pictured instead of poor drawings. Some of the side panels, and the roof panels were not cut square,or were different sizes. In the supply list some pieces were not shown.I used screws for much of it,because it was easier to take apart, when I had to change something. If you have experience, you would be better off starting from scratch.I had to email the company twice, they were very prompt with an answer.
