Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BJ Majestic is a "Cluster" and not what a true carpenter would build!
I realize that it was built on the cheap...so we wouldn't have to pay more for it. The floor and side walls (except for the use of 4'+8' boards instead of 12' for the horizontals) seemed steady; the lack of full frames for the front and rear were ridiculous! The whole thing relied on the inner shelves and "loft" to hold it together. The building steps and recommendations lacked forethought...not recommending the use of caulk on ALL the wall seams when the wallboards are not finished on the edges is negligent...WE sealed them anyway! The "batten" strips are not sealed on the edges. When using cms for measurements as well as inches WOULD have worked, if written correctly...it is "1'point'3" (1.3) NOT "1'comma'3" (1,3). It was extremely difficult to put the roof up while the loft boards were in place. It would have been easier with the frame only!
The recommendations for what to buy in addition to the items shipped...NEVER mentioned the 12' treated 4x4s.
I don't know HOW the pros do it when people pay to have Home Dept build it instead of relying on my husband's carpentry skills.

The storage shed was easy to assemble parts fiit the way they should, the only draw back was the roof rafters were a little warped. Overall a great value and I am completely satisfied.

The finished product is awesome. There was only one warped board we couldn't use. I did buy 2 12 ft 2x4 treated boards for the bottom side walls. I bought extra screws to attach the siding. I special ordered the red metal roof materials. Everything was in the kit, including the nails and screws. I hired 2 guys to build it. The finished product with all the extras and the labor came to apx. $1800.00

I purchased this kit trying to save a little money by building it myself. After all was said and done I spent a lot more than the advertised price I paid for it! First off you have the choice to have it delivered or to pick it up from a store for free. The price was $899 on the website and the delivery charge was $199. When I looked for one to pick up from the store, there was one across town, but the price was then $999 when I selected to pick it up in the store. I ended up going with the delivery option, annoyed that I had to pay $100 extra dollars just to pick it up myself across town.
I did a little research before-hand, but it is not obvious at all what is actually not included in the kit, but once you have the kit delivered you still need to purchase everything on the following list just to start:
• Any tools you may not already have, including a square, tin Snips, chalk Line and shingle blades for utility knife
• Pea Gravel (I used two, 40lb bags)
• Solid Masonry Blocks (I used eleven, 4" blocks and twelve 2" bricks)
• Stakes for leveling
• Masonry Twine
• 4"x4"x12' Treated Lumber
• 3" Screws Exterior grade (1 Box)
• 5/8 x 48 x 96" (5/8" OSB) Oriented Strand Board (x3)
• 2" Hot Dipped Galvanized Box-Type Nails (1 Lb)
• 3-Tab Shingles (5 Bundles)
• Drip Edge (50 Feet)
• #15 Roofing Felt (To cover 122 sq ft.)
• 1" Galvanized Roofing Nails (4 lbs) For laying down shingles
• 2 Gallons Exterior Paint
• Acrylic latex exterior paintable caulk (3 Tubes)
• 3" Nails (3 Boxes)
• 2" Nails (4 boxes)
• 1 Quart Trim Paint
• Exterior rated wood glue
I also decided to add a few extra items to the shed for functionality.
• The doors swung back and forth when they are open, so I added some extra latches to hold them open.
• I also added gutters and a rain barrel
All in all, I spent another $650 on everything extra. So be aware that you're actually spending $1800.00 for the shed and other materials and then on top of that all the time and labor to put it up. That was about double what I was expecting to pay. Still less expensive that a lot of comparable sheds, but the hidden costs and gotchas gave me a bad experience.
The shed itself went together relatively easily. I spent two evenings leveling out the site and prepping the location before the shed was delivered and then I was able to frame up the walls by myself in a full day once the kit came. It was delivered on a skid and was about 4'x8' by 3' tall and a little over 1200lbs. I don't have a construction background but the instructions were clear and I followed them step by step. Everything fit together really well and nothing was missing that was supposed to be there. I had three neighbors come over and they helped me assemble the rest of the shed. You'll need at least two people, but I would recommend three. We got the shed up in a full day. I spend a third day finishing the shingles and the roof and another day painting.

I put this up about 1 year ago by myself. Not too hard if you work smarter and not harder (basic construction skills, proper temporary bracing, support, etc..). Definitely check the quality of the contents before you leave the lot. We went through 3 of them before we found one that was 98% mold/damage free. Home Depot replaced the pieces that were unusable at no charge. Definitely replace all spans that call for a 8' sistered to a 4' (walls and foundation) with a 12' board. Other than that, no complaints. Rock solid, has withstood 60+ mph winds no problem, and looks great. Love the loft.

The shed was fairly easy to assemble for me and my husband. We have are pretty handy though. If you aren't used to building things at all, I would suggest paying Home Depot or other builders to build it for you. Separate all parts before starting and make sure you are grabbing the correct ones. When we started working on the roof, we accidentally grabbed the trim boards instead of the gable boards to make the gables and we couldn't get it to work correctly, so we decided to cut them, then realized they weren't the correct boards, It was a mistake that we could have avoided if we had paid closer attention, however it was something that was easily corrected if you are good at angles and math. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. We love it so far, We haven't painted it yet, but My husband has already got all his stuff in it!

Purchased this product after looking at so many others. For the money, this was the best one I've come across. Building was simple but I was lucky enough to own tools making for an easy build. I used my own nails

This is the third building I've assembled from HHP (First of this model). This building seemed to be a bit better in quality than the others. The instructions are straight forward. You need to read and reread them until you understand completely. Also it pays to go through the parts to make sure everything is there. Its also a must to have a helper especially if you have no experience in this sort of thing. I only gave 4 stars because this kit was supposed to include nails and did not. Customer support was great and would have sent them but I was using pneumatic nailer so I did not need them.
