Answer:
Because over the counter bed bug products are not effective. Hire a pro. This product is a repellent. Unless you hit all the spots, they will just be driven further into hiding

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works I do not know the level of infestation, as I was experiencing only a few bites here and there. This product worked immediately and I am very pleased. I repeat application under the bed and around the mattress and box spring edges when I change sheets, just to ensure that those suckers are dead and not returning. I also sprayed the baseboards between my apartment and the one next door (where I suspect they came from in the first place), and I have repeated that application once. I have a ton of this stuff left over, however the gallon size comes with the sprayer and I think this works better than bottles with sprayers built in, because when product gets low it's hard to get out the stuff at the bottom of the bottle. Only drawback to sprayer is you must close it each time you put it down or it will leak out. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best choice I ever made I started using this product recently for the 1st time& for now I must say that's it's really working & doing some good for me. This was the best choice I ever made. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Don't waste your money like I did on other stuff, I had an infestation of ticks about a month ago and now we are at the point that we see one every once in a blue. We are still spraying we were told to continue to spray for 3 months. We sprayed the molding, the cracks by the floor where the tiles meet, windows inside and outside all over the couches everywhere we saw them we sprayed we kinda used it a lot more than recommended. We used it with a combination of the flag flea and tick spray, we alternated. But we noticed a huge difference when we started with Harris! Definitely get it right away don't think about it anymore, if you want peace in your home. March 15, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Review of Harris Bug Spray Great product. Fast service. It worked faster then anything else we used January 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It does not help! They claim that when spray dries up bed bug dies. No, it is NOT TRUE. I have tested it on several bed bugs. When I found a bed bug I would shake the bottle well, spray some on the bed bug put it in a glass bottle and leave the top open (They can't climb on glass). I would check 8-10 hours later but see that bed bug is weak but still alive. Either this thing does not dry up in 10 hours or it is useless. I don't think it works on bedbug' eggs either. I have a small apt and not much furniture so it takes me 15-20 mins to apply it every where . Although I systematically,-once a week- apply this thing and other measurements I still find bedbugs in my apt. This is the end of fourth week and there are still bedbugs around. October 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It mostly went away, but I have to stay on top of it a year later. 1 or 2 pop up every now and then. This seem to be the only thing that worked! The sprayer locks which I didn't realize my first purchase because I could have saved some of my spray. Every once in a while I do see a pop up of 1 or 2, but I am hoping to be rid of the problem once and for all by being more consistent in spraying weekly. December 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I do NOT recommend I had two bedrooms with bed bugs. We used Hot Shot spray on one and Harris 1 Gal spray on the other. No one slept in either room for 3 days. We then went back and re-sprayed each with the same it got the first time. Two days later the kids slept in their beds. The the child who slept in the one Sprayed with HOT SHOT has had NO bites for 6 days now. The child that slept in the Harris Bed Bug killer room was eaten alive with approximately 20 bites all over. We then looked at the two bottles and the main ingredient was different. Also, the Hot Shot gallon spray stated it kills the eggs and the Harris gallon bottle did not say anything about killing eggs. PLUS the Hot Shot was about $12 cheaper. August 21, 2015
