I purchased this product about a month ago after seeing how many people absolutely loved it. We have a brown roach problem, they haven't gotten too large quite yet but I've seen some about an inch long. I put two of these tablets where I would see the roaches hanging out, two on the stove, two around the sink (their water source), dropped behind the walls and general areas. I noticed no difference at all in the number of roaches. I managed to catch one in a bowl, I placed a glass cup over it. I trapped Randy the Roach in there with one of these tablets. Randy lived four days. I gave him a little bell pepper and he lived on for another week. Am I missing something here? The photo is Randy the Roach.

The tablets really do work! I began having roach problems several months ago and tried a variety of different products, including having a professional come in, and none of that worked to get rid of the roaches. I found an article about Harris Famous Roach Tablets and decided that for just $5 and because I had not tried tablets before, I would give it a try. To my amazement, I began to see fewer roaches 2 days after I put out the tablets. It is now 1 week after I placed the tablets and I have not seen even one roach! As an extra plus, the box of approximately 100 tablets was only about $5 and I only put out 12-15 tablets (per the instructions). Thank you to Harris!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jreemz So far, so good
So, after reading mostly good reciews about this priduct, I decided to give it a try on these nasty Oriental cockroaches that have transformed my outdoor comfort zone into a war zone. I figured if it didn't work, I'd only be out $5. Anyhow, on the 1st day, I placed the tablets in, under, and around the areas where I've seen ongoing roach activity, and I waited for nightfall, anxious to see if they'd take the bait. And sure enough, they did...so much so, i felt like I was feeding them and probably just making the problem worse because there were so many of them. Day 2: I went outside to see if there were any dead roaches on the ground, but there were none. That same night, I was outside was talking with my son, when I realized there wasn't a single roach in sight. Today is day 3: Still no signs of roaches, dead or alive. I'll update this review in a few days.

AS A LOW-INCOME HOUSING LANDLORD, I RUN IN TO MORE THAN MY SHARE OF ROACHES. I HAVE FOUND THESE ROACH TABS TO BE EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE AND SO MUCH SAFER THAN SPRAYS. YOU CAN SEE LITTLE NIBBLE MARKS ON THEM AS THEY ARE BEING CONSUMED. JUST BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU PUT THEM WITH PETS AND LITTLE ONES AS THESE LOOK JUST LIKE ALTOIDS MINTS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PLACES TO HIDE THEM OUT OF REACH - TOSS A FEW UNDER THE STOVE AND FRIDGE, IN CORNERS OF CABINET SHELVES AND CLOSETS, ALONG WALLS BEHIND THE COUCH, ETC.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fritztdog Finally, something that reduced the roach population in my yard
We've had Oriental (aka Asian) roaches in our neighborhood for over 20 years but this year seemed worse than normal due to the Northern California drought conditions. I'd tried roach motels and sticky traps but they just were not cost effective as I needed to replace them every few days and I didn't see any reduction in roach sightings. My yard has many areas with cracks and I'm sure we have colonies of roaches living in these cracks and under driveway, and other areas so I thought maybe these pellets would work. I didn't want to place the tablets where children or pets would get them (they do look like Certs breath mints or other candy) so I placed them in the cracks and under rocks, etc. My first impression is that these tablets have worked better than anything I've used in the past. In the hot spot areas where I placed them, I now find only dead roaches or soon to be dead (wandering in circles or upside down) whereas in the hot spot areas that I didn't treat, I found the same numbers of living roaches as before. You can't beat the price of $5 and there's sufficient pellets that I will be able to apply 2 more treatments once the existing pellets decay. Thanks Harris for getting a simple, cost effective way to reduce our roach infestation.

These small round tabs worked to get rid of my German roach problem in the kitchen when other products failed. Went from seeing the bugs every day, to one time in the last month. Problem solved, affordably. One concern for pet owners - don't put these down low (per box instructions/warnings) or your pet might eat them. They look like big altoids so keep them away from little kids too.
Worked within a day or two of placing the tabs around the kitchen. Have not yet removed them so I'm not sure if the bugs would return, but I'll be trying that soon.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TMasterson Great Great Product
I live in South Florida and moved into a home that had been vacant for 3 years. When I moved in I had a big Palmetto bug/American Roach issue. I would see 2 or 3 big (2 plus inch) every couple of days. I sprayed the outside of the house, hired a pest control company and had the drains cleaned. Going through that reduced the bug count but after 90 days I still had an issue. I read about making Boric Acid cakes on line and went to Home Depot to see ifthey had straight Boric Acid. They didn't. After reading the ingridients on the package I noticed that these were basically Boric acid cakes pre made the size of @ 4 penny's stacked together. I figured for $5 why not try em.
I placed them throughout the house as indicated and threw another dozen in the atic. For a couple days I would find a dead one around the house here and there, but now 30 days since application I have only seen 1 and it was dead in the storage closet. These tablets work great, are easy to apply and a lot cheaper then a monthly pest control call.
Bravo to Harris and to Home Depot for selling them.
