Can you use only one handle or do have to install both sides.

My sister-in-law is a large woman and I don't think she could fit through if both sides are installed.
Asked by: Peg
It is possible to use just one arm.

Customer Reviews

Toilet Safety Arm Support with BactiX is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flimsy quality, not reliable or safe This is supposed to provide balance and support when sitting on and getting up from a toilet, right? Well, though it's relatively easy to put together, the arms aren't sturdy and it's easy to feel like you can't depend on these to keep you up. When in place, the arms shake a lot, and for anyone who needs the solid balance support, this isn't comforting. Also, the height of the arms aren't adjustable beyond a few preset levels. I ended up returning this to buy something that provided everything we needed for the same cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product was very filmsy and could not have been used as designed. This product could not have been used as designed because it was very flimsy. it needs additional support in the legs because they move side to side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very smart purchase! I bought this for my mother as she was having trouble getting up. She is 90. Now she has no problem where she might fall and get hurt in the restroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product works great My dad had back surgery and i bought this product to help him lower himself and get off the seat without bending. I like this product over some other products because the legs go down to the floor for better stability. Other products attached to the rim of the toilet and just did not seem very stable for a 240 pound 76 year old man to put all his weight againt it for leverage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to Assemble but not stable 5 pieces - very easy to assemble. Because of the multiple easy connectors, the arms are a little shaky. Would like it to feel more stable, but it does the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk Very wobbly, unstable. Arms were to high, was unable to push myself up. I weigh 115 so that was not the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It didn't work well at all... wobled badly... Although easy to install, because it had only two legs... and needed four for stability... it wobled all over the place and made my husband uneasy....it was hard to use and hard to reach the "flush" value... Overall, it is a poorly designed product for the elderly and those that need help getting off the toilet...
